I enjoy the holidays, however, I would not mind a few more months of summer.

I prefer longer hours of daylight, sixty five to seventy five degrees, not freezing everyday, cheaper utility bills, little worry of a power outage (buying a generation as soon as possible)

Fall is not to bad while in the sixties with no rain.

The best part of winter is Christmas, I intend to finish my gift purchases by November first, unless their is good involved.

I know some people that love the winter because their summer is filled with several ninety degree plus for days on end.

Eighteen to twenty three degrees celsius.

Easier, which allows time to enjoy the holidays.
I don't deal in farenhight Laughing I was only taught celsius.
As well as about eighty perfect of the world I believe, more counties use celsius then fahrenheit.

I wouldn't mind the cold nearly as much if it didn't come with the snow. I actually prefer the cold because there's technically no limit to how many layers you can put on in the cold, but a pretty severe restriction on how many layers you can strip off in the heat. . .

But you don't have to go out and shovel the heat and humidity!

This area will not snow some winters, a little one time and too much another, I may side with the heat as I mostly ware the same thing year around, just add or minus jacket. It can get in the teens here at times, that is only for a short time, we are very mild in weather for what the many parts of the country have to deal with for months. I prefer to do hard work at around sixty, even fifty five is comfortable while working.

How many days of snow in your area?

Everyone will love the holidays. :P

No matter how much anyone likes or loves the holidays, many say they are glad when it is over, more stressful then it should be for some.

Still not ready myself, only three months until the season starts, feels too soon, well, the years do keep getting faster the older I become.

In kid years it would still be 1995.

When I was a young kid...I get all excited and want Xmas to arrive quickly so I can open my presents.

But Xmas is no longer exciting to me cause I can get whatever I want at any time.

The exciting gift part has gone away since I moved long past being a kid, I miss the Christmas feel as a kid, I enjoy Christmas for other reasons now and I enjoy giving gifts. I understand about buying your own things, I do not really collect anything, I buy movies, I like art and comics, all items I buy myself when I want it or no one else would have any idea what I want. I appreciate any gift, I received a bit of food last year which works fine. Even when any gift is appreciated, the excitement is never the same as when you are a child.

I like Christmas for the week and a half off work. (Which will probably be the first time off work I have since January this year... what's the use in having 20 days' annual leave if you've got too much of a workload to be able to take them?) Around here the whole country closes down on the 24th and reopens some time in the first week of January. Most of the country has their Christmas, New Year and summer holidays at the same time.

Your job does not have the best work days.

Do these schedules ever change?

I do have a rotating work schedule. Thing is.....I'm not sure what year my day off will fall on Xmas day.

This may sound strange.....but I rather work on Xmas day. I get double overtime!! More money to spend. :grinp:

It may be strange for some, it depends on what plans you have for that day, personally I always want Christmas day off. I am sure that double overtime is appealing if there are no big plans for Christmas day.

She didn't want those things, and the point runs deeper than you'd guess.. Basically you have to know my sister, in order to get why it was very wrong.

Bubble-wrap can be fun; just sit and pop the bubbles and drive the people around you nuts... :D
