What kind of were-creature would you like to be?
There are a lot of threads on other types of weres on the board, and I was just wondering, what kind of (other than wolf, duh) were would you be?
Oh my God, the Wolfman's got nards!

I wouldn't mind being a snake, or a raven. I've also costumed as a werejaguar once or twice.
That's the natural animals...I think it'd be great to be a weregryphon. I was at a show once and gazing up at a gorgeous, dark lavender and silver and blue-grey cloud mountain. I said to my companion, "Ooooh, looky! Let's turn into gryphons and fly up and explore it!" He looked at me like I was channeling Delirium from The Sandman.
Yeah, sometimes I get goofy when I'm witness to something wonderful, like a huge cloud mountain.

Well, if I still lived close to the ocean, I guess a wereshark would be cool. But since I live in the desert now, that might not work. So...going on the assumption that since werewolves are off-limits, that also means other canines are as well (coyotes, foxes, hyenas), and in THAT case, I'd probably have to go with a big cat. Most likely a puma/cougar/mountain lion, since that would probably be considered a "native" species to any state I'd visit. Other than that, I suppose a raven or some other large bird could be cool. If nothing else, you'd save on airfare.

Don't assume all of us would want to be wolves, even if that was an option.
Tough to pick just one. I've grown to like the idea of a unicorn form. They're mythical though. Real animals provide me with way too many options. I'm not sure what I'd want to be, but I know I'm not at all fond of canines, except for foxes.

Damb no wolves, hmmm.........Well if i were to be anything i'd choose to be a were-coyote because then i'd feel more native to my lineage. Thou i'm not too sure if thats realy the right species for that, but oh well.

A tiger would probably my second choice over a wolf.
One only knows that of which they allow themselves to know.

Werebears are funny because they're kind of like actual bears in half form. Since they're so similar to humans in build.Caine wrote:I'm going to have to with a Were-grizzly bear. That would just be awesome... the most powerful nose in the animal kingdom, long hooked claws, and the ability to run at 3 mph? What more could you want?
Now, if only your weregrizzly could catch my wereferret running through your legs!

There's the part where i can become irony since i swim poorly, and to also see if i became a balanced blend of human and penguin, because i'd assume that most people would portray werepenguins stereotypically.Set wrote:Penguin huh? Not a common choice, but interesting. Why a penguin?kitetsu wrote:I'd probably start with were-penguin.
And also to spite Cronos from Bloody Roar, because i think of his penguin form as the lamest thing i've ever seen.

See... I dislike the idea of self transformation entirely. Somehow it seems that contorting myself would be unpleasant - hence I am human in mentality and construct (but as an anthropologist well aware of its founding, thanks much).
If I had to find something it'd probably be the extinct Short-Faced Bear, also known as Arctodus. Note: It's extinction happened while humankind was present, only about 12,000-14,000 years ago.

That's one predator that Humans can't be accused of killing off-directly. As I recall, they rivaled the Kodiak bear for size and strength, and the Wolverine for attitude.Ink wrote:See... That was quite awhile ago, though...
