Sonic unleashes his Werewolf- alter ego!!!
Sonic, in Sonic Unleashed, has now 2 new forms one is a golden super hedgehog form, while the other one is a werewolf. To me, this sounds pretty cool but i'm gonna have to play the game before i make decision.

Super Sonic has been around for years, man, where have you been? It's been there since at least Sonic 3, probably 2.
As for the game itself... Personally, I plan on putting no faith whatsoever in this until I hear something good about it. The Sonic series went sour sometime after Sonic Adventure.

Ok, I don't like sonic as much now.
Sonic should not get a werewolf concept gameplay, it doesn't mix! Its going to be bad, low sales and mediocre reviews.
Come on, Sega! Do better with Sonic.

heh, Yeah when I first heard about that I was thinking of the same thing. Why couldnt they just introduce a werewolf in there, not make sonic into a werewolf. I swear ever since Yuji Naka stopped directing Sonic games the series went down hill. Sonic Adventure 2 was the last great sonic game, I remember getting it the first day it came out and spending over 40 hours on the game.

Now, my question is this. If it IS Sonic as a werewolf, what will turn him into one?
Guess I'll have to play the game in order to find out.
the release date is 11/04/08 Dang...thats a long wait.

Jeah.....i totally agree with that...Baphnedia wrote:To be honest, I think some companies are taking Werewolf stuff mainstream without any supporting concepts, background or context, and at best, ruining their own creations. Let him be a hedgehog!

I have to agree with this. I have a feeling some people seem to be latching onto lycanthropy as the new "fad" to sell off of due to the popularity of games such as Okami and Twilight Princess. I don't mind that much if people occasionally use it as one of the main selling points as long as they do it properly. If they make a half-baked werewolf-related concept in a game (especially a franchise), then it may not only damage the series, but may also ruin it for future game developers who want to put a great lycanthropic game out there ("Oh, another werewolf game. Everyone makes them these days, and only 10% are partially decent anyway*").Baphnedia wrote:To be honest, I think some companies are taking Werewolf stuff mainstream without any supporting concepts, background or context, and at best, ruining their own creations. *This is just what I'm afraid people will start thinking if this keeps up.
Reminded me of that episode with Garfield turning into a werewolf during a full moon. He's already a cat, so that would make him a third cat, a third human, and a third wolf?Irish Wolf wrote:Werewolf...hedgehog that's just wrong
Kind of an odd mix there.

That wouldn't be Sega's job, Sparkster's a Konami property. I'd like to see that, though, Sparkster was awesome. Not sure how it'd work in 3D, though.kitetsu wrote:Good luck with that. Meanwhile, try to revive Sparkster.

For all i care it can end up like the gorgeous-looking Odin Sphere with an upgraded Sparkster gameplay package.
