Have you been called a werewolf before?

Post by Black Claw »

My sister wanted me to ask you guys if you've been called a werewolf before?
I am the guardian of the light and darkness,
I am the one who whispers in the dark,
I am the eyes of your soul,
I am the shield,
I am the sword.

I believe once, in a moment of jest, when I found out I was the only person who preferred Werewolves over Vampires.

My mom(who knows nothing of my spirituality) called me a werecat(just because every cat I meet treats me like a littermate).
My boyfriend did the same thing before I told him about 'rundi. He would constantly say that when I curled up next to him that he expected me to start purring at any moment. XD

Once or twice by my mother in reference to my putting off getting a haircut. Thankfully it's one of the few things she's called me just once or twice and not so much that the meaning of the word is completely lost thanks to her.

Yes actually... and it was totally random... And since I don't actively talk about werewolves or their alike, it was sort of a shocker...

A couple of times, purely in jest, but I'd guess that counts... (it's actually one of the politer things people have called me...)

Too late to vote but a couple of times. Most recently my roommate pointed out to me that it was full moon in front of a coworker and then she proceeded to ask me if I was going to change. Not exactly calling me a werewolf but implying it.

Yeah, off and on for most of my life. My usual comment is something like; "Why? Are you lonesome?"
The total non-seqiutur usually derails any other comments.

Mind you...I wouldn't exactly object to being one...

Yes, I have been called a werewolf before. 18 people, in fact. It's due to my facial hair which grow really fast. By night, I nearly have a complete beard which normally takes week and I don't shave that much as I have found that it is a lot easier to just let it grow and trim it. So, at my last workplace, I was called a werewolf 2 times by both managers, which one is a werewolf fan. Another friend that worked there too. I was called a werewolf at home 4 times, once by my brother, both sisters and by my father. And 9 of my friends said all at once, agreeing with each other, that I looked like an Asian werewolf, but couldn't bring themselves to each say it until someone broke free. Worst of all, my ex-girlfriend said I'm like a werewolf and that was because she felt my back when we were in the dark and ever since then she has called me "wolfboy".
It is actually embarrassing. I never go shirtless in the summers, yet the beach is a different issue.

Strange that I actually keep count hu?

Same. Other than that, I haven't really been called one at all. Nobody even knows I have any correlation with this forum or anything werewolf related except one real life friend of mine, otherwise nobody has a clue, not even my family. xP

I have received statements about my heavy eyebrows, crazy facial hair, rather hairy arms/legs (2nd hairiest in my grade :P), and messy hair, but nobody has ever made the connection.

Yes, and I'm not counting running around in a giant full-body suit of fur with a tail, claws, and a wolf head, which in spite of the obvious, was occasionally mistaken for a bear. Nor do I count contexts in which I've myself brought up interest in the subject; I'm only counting unsolicited werewolf references.

About ten years ago; a friend noted that my facial features were "lycanthropic," referring to a forward slope visible to my face when viewed in profile. Most humans are very flat-faced among mammals; my Italian nose and a fortuitous jaw line would seem to give me a slightly shifted look. And, yes, I too have a unibrow.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

Heh, Yeah, I have a few physical features that betray my felinity as well. ;D
But they are pretty subtle. My eyes turn bright blue when I'm feeling very upset or shifty. (no, I'm not claiming to be a p-shifter, my eyes just change with my mood, probably due to blood pressure), and my jaws are shaped more like a cat than a human. Most people make a semi-circular bite mark, mine is square because my incisors are all in line. My canines, bicuspids, and molars are all more pointed than most people as well.

Well, I've been referred to as the Woolly Mammoth, for being in dire need of getting a haircut. But no, not a werewolf.

Other things I've been called a lot (or even asked - on occasion by strangers) relates to this:
