A riddle.
Hello, everyone. Found out this site has a forum, decided to join up.
Here's a riddle for you:
While I was traveling to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives. Each wife had seven baskets. Each basket contained seven cats. Each cat had seven kittens.
Kittens, cats, bags and wives, how many were on their way to St. Ives?
I'll tell you the answer once a few of you have tried it. >:)

What can create a new system, or destroy an old one? What can change the lives of everyone who touches it? What can strengthen the whole world, or shake it to its very roots? What can create whole nations, and change the course of history?

Re: A riddle.
I love riddles!
The answer is one. The man and his wife never said that they were going to St. Ives, only that you met them on the way there. XD Therefore, you are the only one going to St. Ives.
I'm going to have to use that riddle at school.

Re: A riddle.
Actually none; the question was, "Kittens, cats, bags and wives, how many were on their way to St. Ives?" The one telling the riddle, who is the only party expressly mentioned as going anywhere, St. Ives or elsewhere, does not include "I" or "me" in the question.
And, I got it before reading Moss27's answer, though I have to give him or her credit for posting first. Congrats. I think. That's assuming we got it right.

Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

Re: A riddle.
Hehe...nice tries all around, but Scott Gardner got it.
The answer is none; I am the only person traveling to St. Ives, and last I checked I am neither a kitten, a cat, a bag or a wife. I appreciate the warm welcome though.
