Regarding Baph's link, well. . . I've since sent via e-mail or shown it directly to at least twelve people, and while the reactions varied, they all consisted of two-word exclamations, the first one always being "holy" and the second one being. . . Well, you get the idea.

I'd love to see the Founding Fathers tackle today's problems. (I know, Andrew Jackson was one generation later, but he was close.) George Washington would have freed Iraq in the first three months like we thought we would. Thomas Jefferson would have had social issues like abortion and immigration nailed by the end of the year. Alexander Hamilton would have balanced the budget overnight. And, Ben Franklin would have personally invented a new clean energy technology that would make oil and gasoline obsolete.

OK, I exaggerate. They'd have a tough time with our mess over here in America, too. But, it's kind of refreshing to see good minds like Obama and McCain for a change, as "politics as usual" for the past twenty years has really gotten old.
