Caelean followed out the fire escape, then looking back at the hunters. She sneered when the conscious one looked at her. "What about them? Are we taking them along?"

The whites of Mugen's eyes turned red, along with claw and fang growth. The transformation was of his own will, and it greatly increased his speed. He ran faster and faster, holding onto Ouka.

"Be careful, all of you. I can hear the officials coming this way, and they are prepared for our kind."

His keen ears picked up the sounds around them, keeping a check on the ones after them.

"Then go incognito," Dan suggested, glaring pointedly at Mugen as he climbed down the fire escape.. "As if the mess you left upstairs isn't bad enough, we don't need reports of red-eye people with claws to go with it."

Mugen took Dan's advise and calmed down, his eyes returning to normal.

"We need a distraction..Hmm...."

[Aki]

"No," Dan said, hopping onto the hard tarmac of the alleyway. "We do not," he added. "We will simply sneak and follow me for I have an idea as where to hide until we can effect plan of some sort. Just do not attract attention. I am attempting a Not My Problem spell which should convince people to try and not notice us. But if you draw attention it will not work."

Mugen pointed to the marking on his right eye.

"Kind of hard to not attract attention when you were born with a mark like this, and it's not so easy to hide."

He let out a deep sigh, cursing that he was born with such a mark.

Caelean sighed and followed along, trying not to be obvious to cover up her wounds. With the sun still up, she was feeling lively, despite only having minimal sleep. Though because of the sun, she's feeling irritated for not being in her dragon form. "Two escapes within a span of 24 hours. Is your place hidden enough to elude humans?" She slowly followed behind, trying not to bounce on her feet.

Unsure of what Dan would answer, Mugen looked up at the bright sky. He then closed his eyes, reopening them with a sudden surge of power. The air chilled slightly, causing a slight mist to appear in the city.

"The sun can still break through this mist, so you'll be safe, Caelean, but it will also provide extra cover in case we are found by more hunters."

[Aki]

"You do not understand," Dan said, his brow furrowing angrily as he kept leading on. "It's magic - try to remember this, there will be a test - it will make use seem rather uninteresting and engender a feeling of us not being worth looking at so long as you don't give them a really good reason to pay attention. Markings are not a good enough reason."

"My place is quite well hidden. Well, not really," he admitted, shrugging. "It's just someplace no one would look, see. It's an abandoned warehouse, bit of a creepy place. It's also nothing special. There's no heat, no electricity, no nothing. Not my sanctum, you see. That's not near here and even if it was I don't want to risk destruction of my accumulated knowledge simply because trouble follows you people."

"Now, what it is does offer is concealment and what meager supplies I've hidden there for such an emergency. We should be able to rest and plan a route to use to get out of NYC until this s*** storm calms down."

Caelean sighed through her nose. Her muscles were tense, ready to spring at any moment, but she remained proper for Dan's spell to continue. "Okay, that's fine enough. Ouka, you okay with that?"

(:: I'm sorry that I haven't posted yet. Since it's very close to Christmas, I'm having to work my butt off.::)

Ouka looked at the four of them, she was deep in thought when Caelean asked the question. She finally turned to face them and give her answer; " We will go to your dwelling, Dan. And for Mugen's marking, humans will think it is only a tattoo." She sighed, and jumped off of Mugen's back. Ouka examined herself for a second and looked back up to them. " I wish I had clothes though..." She said to herself. One more question popped up in her head that she desperately wanted to ask Dan about. " Dan, is your place near a store called 'Tomb Mist'?"

Mugen sighed, releasing his mist.

"No human would be stupid enough to get a tattoo over their eye, and I can't turn off my fangs like you can."

He stood there, waiting for the others.

[Aki]

"They will with this spell in effect, it's amazing how hard to impress into your mind that this is magic," Dan said to Mugen, looking irritated. "Besides, there are plenty of morons who tattoo their bodies in strange places."

He started walking signalling for the others to follow him. "Yes, Ouka it is near that place. Why do you ask...?"

Ouka's heart filled with joy as she stepped forward and smiled at Dan. " You will see..." Said Ouka, her eyes flickered with relief. She was about to fallow Dan but then, she turned around suddenly and looked at Mugen. She had compassion in her eyes and without a pause she grabbed Mugen’s hand and turned back to walk with him, gripping tight like her life depended on it. She slightly turned her head to see Mugen and gave him a warm smile.

"Alright," Dan said with a shrug and light smile as he lead on. "So long as it isn't some thing that will summon up zombies or ghosts or demons or such I guess it oughta be alright."

Mugen gripped Ouka's hand and smiled. His dark hair shone a bit in the early light.

"Well, I just hope we don't have to fight anyone. I'm still a little weak from that last battle."

He stood straight and followed the others.

Caelean started to feel hungry again, which just made her even more irritated. "I'm all against killing humans and all...." her stomach growled fiercely. "... I have to go hunting soon... I don't know how much longer I can control my temper." The last time she lost control... well, it was a disaster.

Mugen's ears twitched at a slight noise made from an oncoming alley. He shot a needle at the noise, which was followed by a small yelp.

"Caelean, there's some food for you. Judging by the scent, it appears to have been a wild dog or a fox."

Caelean

Caelean looked towards the alley, and she did catch the smell of the creature. She started to move toward the alley, but then squeezed her eyes and turned around, putting off her hunger for one last second. "Dan, cover for me. I don't care how."

Not waiting to see what the group did, Caelean entered the alley and released her dragon form on the impaled canine. Warm blood dripped through her crushing jaws. Her eyes glowed with satisfication as she threw back her throat to swallow it whole.

Mugen dug his heel into the ground to skid into a halt. From there, he kept a look out, making sure no humans would see what was occuring. His keen eyes scoped the area, while his nose and ears kept a check on the sounds and smells of the area.

[Nekko]

Nekko sat back and watched.

((OOC: omg...so short. But it's hard to get back into action after a while))

"Jesus Christ," Dan muttered, watching in awe as Caelean swallowed the canine whole. "Um, okay, new rule; the dragon always eats first so she doesn't do s*** like this anywhere noticeable," he added after a moment, glad they were in a deserted alleyway and his spell was making the area particularly uninteresting, giving people even less of a reason to wander into the alleyway. Of course, seeing a dragon would entirely unravel the spell if anyone managed to overcome the spell's effect and wandering down the alley anyways.

"The sooner you can return to your other form the better, Caelean..."

"Agreed." Nekko said to Dan's comment. "Even with his spell going we can't take any risks."

Caelean wiped her mouth with the back of her hand as she transformed back into her human form. The instinct to kill still lingered, but her hunger was satiated enough to regain "human" sense. "I'm sorry, but a dragon's got to eat. And I eat... traditionally... no matter if I'm hunting or not." She moved back towards the group, making sure that her magic fully covered her dragon side. "Okay, I'm ready."

Mugen nodded at Caelean.

"Daniel, how much further until we reach the safehouse?"

He kept his senses alert, just in case the hunters were to return.
