I know I didn't. My mother would think it was a little bizarre. What about you folks?

I'm a little too old to expect anything for Christmas, but I do buy myself a gift or two in this splurge period. I've grabbed myself a couple of commissions (with lycanthropeful and Myenia), and a rather beautiful Werewolf Calendar. I also chased down the entire comic run of The Astounding Wolf-man.

That's the beauty of being too old for Christmas, you allow yourself to splurge a little near December and you get yourself the perfect gifts! Admittedly, the surprise is gone, but I don't really miss that all that much. Besides, it's always more fun watching the joy light up on the face of the pups with whatever I decide to get them!

Ditto. That would be awkward. I did ask for a duckie, though. :duckieinmouth:

I'm also beyond the point of expecting anything. I might do something if I get written a big enough check, but I'm not expecting anything.

Unfortunately there are things I need (like snow boots) that are more important than any miscellaneous werewolf stuff so no. :)

I'm not really sure what to get. Maybe a book. I can enjoy a good book better than anything else.

What I wish for, though probably will never get, is to get a Nikon D40 camera. Photography is pretty fun, and I enjoy my Photography class a lot. Either that, or Photoshop. :P

I’ve asked for werewolf books for the past few years, but sometimes my family forgets and gets me vampire stuff instead. Why do those two get confused so easily? :? This year I’m not getting anything big from them, but if I get a bit of money I might buy myself a werewolf book (been looking at one called Sharp Teeth, by I forget who at this point).

I'd think it does, I know it's not strictly a Werewolf thing, what with a God taking on the form of a Wolf and whatnot, but the Wolf involved really is very beautiful, and animated so well. I was enchanted when I saw Okami way back on the PS2, and I spent the first ten minutes or so just watching Amaterasu just bounding about.

Plus, it's got a restore-life-to-the-World theme that I think many of the tree-hugger types around here could enjoy (myself included!).

It's a shame that Clover Studio is no more, a sequel to Okami that could take advantage of the PS3/XBox 360 would be most welcomed. I'd love to see what they could do with an animated Wolf with that kind of hardware.

Yeah, Daniel got it for me on PS2 when it first came out.
I loves it so much! X3

I have a hard time finding games I like.
I really like RPG/hack 'n slash on pc, but not on console.
I don't like puzzle games, war games, driving/flying games and especially not sports games.

Okami is just that magic combination that I absolutely love!
Other than that it's mostly old NES games and zombie shooters. :P

I think I'd like flight sims, racers, and war games if they didn't make me toss my cookies.
I get motion sick so back I have to take dramamine before I see a movie at the theater. :(

No, I'm not asking for anything werewolf related. I'd ask my sister to buy me a print or two from Goldenwolf, but then it would be weird opening it in front of everyone!

I too have a big enough paycheck that I can get myself whatever I want (maybe a werewolf art commission, too?), so I'd just assume get stuff for my family and not ask for anything. I would have moved out by now, but I'm going to school and it's much cheaper to live at home than pay rent somewhere...

RedEye, I assume you're talking about publishing your werewolf book? I want to read it when it's done! :read:

Well, I asked for a copper bowl...it's copper, it's not silver...

Okay, that was a stretch.
Nothing specific. My family doesn't ask for anything specific anymore, we all know each others' tastes and shop accordingly. I used to ask for specifics when I was a kid but we don't have kids to deal with anymore.

It's not a question of "Ooooh, this is the latest video game! I GOTTA get that for [XYZ]..." It's more like, "Okay, I got $25 to spend on [XYZ], let's have a look...Oh, look, it's PERFECT for [XYZ]! H'mm, it's a little over budget... (say, $32 instead of $25)...ah, well. It's Christmas, s/he'll love it, I'll get it anyway. [snag]"

My mom and brother know I'm seriously into horses and wolves and gourmet cooking. I know my brother's a dedicated birder. Mom's really spiritual, if she's not home she's at church. So I get my brother a case of bird seed cakes for his feeders and get Mom something having to do with angels or saints. I'll probably get a nice wolf t-shirt because Mom has a good eye for art.

I'm too old to expect a present from anyone. But, that doesn’t mean I cant go out and buy myself something nice. The thing for me is that I'm more of a giver then a receiver. I help out at Christmas. At my job, they usually give presents to the employees, I was lucky to get something real nice instead of a can of popcorn.

Just some books that have some werewolf content here and there (Dresden files, heh). But aside from that nothing else is particularly werewolfy about my Christmas wishlist. But my family knows I like wolves so I can probably expect something wolfy.

I'll probably get at least three different wolf calenders - no doubt. Always happens.

Closest thing to werewolf stuff I asked for is the pathfinders deck. http://www.pathfindersdeck.com
It has a werewolf card and a regular wolf card in it.

Shouldof asked for that nifty werewolf calendar too. I'll have to try and buy that later.

Everyone knows I'm obsessed with wolves, so I usually get something wolfy related for Christmas :D

Have gotten wolf/werewolfish related stuff for xmas in the past. My mom used to get me wolf shirts/blankets for xmas, and got me a few games that had werewolves that i'd asked for.

I find myself in a similar predicament, as I wish I'd known of those, too! I'll be sure to grab myself a deck as soon as I can, because that's just the kind of thing I like (I have animal art of various mediums strewn about, and it never seems to be too much!).

As for the calendar, I'd recommend it. I received mine recently and I don't know if I'm going to be able to bring myself to spoil it by scribbling important dates and whatnot upon it. Myenia said she had 25 when I ordered, so there are still some left if you do decide to bag one.

Edited to add...

Oh dear, my Grandmother thought it'd be a laugh to get me this cute little bugger as a present. Not strictly Werewolf at all, really, but I thought you all might like to see it anyway.
