Happiness Thread
This is the opposite of the Venting Thread. Gush about stuff that makes you happy.
My gush today is that the teacher graded our tests to a curve based on the average right, so I didn't flunk the last test!
Now my grade is higher.

I'm working on a werewolf novel, while liking to stay up late at night and going to college. I'm going to be sleep-deprived when this is all said and done.
Anthony Brownrigg, I hope you have the best of luck with Freeborn. RedEye, I also wish you the best of luck with Wulfen Blood. And for a bit of luck for both of you...

Re: Happiness Thread
Well done Noir! Good job!
I suppose mine would be that I received my Werewolf Calendar in the mail today, and it's really every bit as beautiful as I hoped it would be.
I promptly showed it to my roomie, family, and anyone else I could. Of course, the roomie understands my love for all things were, but it was surprising that some of my family thought the calendar was as wonderfully executed done as I did.

I got to pet my boss's beagle today. (no that's not a euphemism)
That was pretty much the highlight of my day.....boy my life is boring.

I wouldn't say that, Pariah! Spending time with canines is one of the most fun things anyone can do, and enjoying some quality time with my Samoyed companion has lead to some of my fondest memories.

Re: Happiness Thread
I am happy 'cause my finals for this semester are in.
My papers are all in and it's over.
Plus,I have one more semester and then (hopefully) onto Graduate school. Tomorrow I finish the application process too!
And I get to spend a week in Corpus Christi, Texas next month; drinking copious amounts of alcohol, eating gourmet food, and getting the tab picked up by my best friend's (obscenely rich) grandfather.
Life is good...

Re: Happiness Thread
I guess I should clarify. I meant that (otherwise) I would've flunked that last test.
I'm happy because it's almost Christmas.

Re: Happiness Thread
I envy your workplace, Celestial!
Anyway, I'd have to agree that deviantART is something to be happy about. Even the most random and arbitrary of searches can result in a good round of beautiful and inspiring art. I've been getting into it again lately, post commission interest, and I really should start adding people to my watch-list, as I now finally have an account there.
Edited to add...
Oh! I recently heard tell of an acquaintance who happened to wander into a coffee shop just as Classic FM was playing the Indiana Jones theme. That must have been epic. I've never been lucky enough to encounter something like that, but hearing of it did make me smile.

Re: Happiness Thread
I'm happy because I've got myself a new bed, and I've just had the best night's sleep I've had in a long while.
Though I swear the thing has super-powered springs, as I literally get bounced out of bed when I decide to get up, I barely have enough time to come to myself.
G'mornin', Pack! Lovely day, innit?

Re: Happiness Thread
Yay life!
Seriously, I was actually thinking about making a thread like this, just for those grand occasions in life you just want to share.

Hooray for snow, indeed! I've always preferred cold weather to hot, I find it more enjoyable, and days when it snows are some of my favourites.
We've actually had days where we've had a layer of snow here, not as much as we used to in times past--bally greenhouse effect--but this year has been better than most in recent memory for snow, and that makes me glad.

Re: Happiness Thread
I basically just told my parents something I've been trying to get off my chest for what feels like forever. Of course I exaggerated the severity of my confession (nowhere near "serious" like "I'm gay/pregnant/on drugs" etc., all those things kids think their parents will kill them for saying), but it still feels like a 16-ton weight is no longer on my shoulders.
So I'm pretty darn happy, despite my headache.

Re: Happiness Thread
I'm happier for hearing that, too. It's good to know that it went well and that you don't have to keep what you told them a secret any more. That's something you'll never have to think about again, because now that it's done, you'll never have to do it again, and you've learned something in he process, possibly of your parents as well.
