You just heard it from a reliable source that the Harrison Pack—you know the one, they pretty much owned Seattle from end to end—has disappeared, leaving their territory completely up for grabs, and grabbing it is exactly what everyone intends to do. For decades the Blake Pack and the Reilly Pack have been living on the outskirts of Seattle and its suburbs, basically living off the scraps of the Harrisons, their numbers and their territories always kept fairly small. But now the Harrisons are gone, vanished in a single night without a warning. Both the Blakes and the Reillys want to expand into Seattle and neither pack is willing to cede any of this new territory to the other. They're both willing to fight to the death to make Seattle a part of their pack's territory and they've sent some of their strongest pack members into the city to start claiming territory and keep the other pack away. However, some of those young wolves may see an opportunity to start their own pack on a newly open territory. Any way it goes down there's going to be conflict and bloodshed, and lurking in the back of everyone's mind is one question. What exactly happened to the Harrison Pack?
So here's the deal, this rp is mostly going to be character driven, starting out with two different factions who have a natural rivalry over this new territory. However there is also the over-arching mystery (which I'll be somewhat controlling/influencing as we go in a very loose gm sort of way) of what happened to the previous pack of werewolves living in Seattle. There's also plenty of room for characters to change the direction of the plot as individual personalities, actions and ambitions come into play and characters interact with each other.
Basic Rules:
- You can play as one of the werewolves sent in to claim territory for either pack, but you have to belong to either the Blake Pack or the Reilly Pack.
- You can't be in charge of either pack.
- Your character has to be at least 18 years old.
- Werewolves in this setting have both a natural and a gestalt form, but their actions are harder to control in their gestalt form, that is they lose most of their reasoning and become driven by their Id without thought to the consequences of their actions.
- In any of their forms werewolves are about 25% stronger and faster than a normal human or wolf of their same build and mass would be. That gives some leeway, but not enough for anyone to get close to god-mode.
- Of course you can't kill someone else's character unless they're okay with it, or said character has been abandoned for a lengthy period of time (i.e. whoever plays said character disappears for several months).
- Except for the fact that werewolves and a few other supernatural creatures exist this setting is pretty close to the real world, so don't depart too far from that.
- Don't worry about silver, it doesn't harm werewolves in this reality.
EDIT made by Grayheart - A werewolf's healing ability is stronger than that of normal humans, but nothing that would allow instant recovery from injuries. Think of it like the accelerated healing ability of Kelley Armstrong's werewolves. 25% percent faster than normal human rate is appropiate.
Both the Blake and the Rielly packs have about 30-35 members each. They're largely made up of extended families related to the alpha of the pack, but there are some members who have joined both packs for various reasons over the years and who have no blood relation to the main families of either pack. As for pack hierarchies, there is one leader or alpha in every pack who is in charge of all pack affairs and settling disputes, as well as managing relations with other neighboring packs. The alpha can be either male or female, although it's more common for the position to be held by a male, and it's held until the alpha is seen as being incapable of continuing to hold it and it is taken over by another pack member, sometimes by the abdicating alpha's consent, sometimes by force. A pack of werewolves will often (but not always) be involved in a singular business, working as a group to provide for themselves within human terms ie to pay the bills. For example, about two-thirds of the Blake Pack are involved in the Blake Moving Company, where they rent moving trucks and help people move their belongings. I haven't thought of such a business for the Rielly's so if someone wants to make one up feel free to do so.
Status within the rest of the pack can be determined by a combination of factors including:
Relation to the alpha (often close family members of the alpha will have somewhat higher status than they would otherwise).
Relationship with the alpha (if the alpha likes a particular pack member that can increase his or her status, but if he dislikes a pack member then that has a negative impact on his or her status).
Strength/hunting skills/fighting ability (if a pack member is capable in any of these areas it means she can better protect and provide for the pack, which improves her status).
Intelligence (since werewolves do have to interact with human beings, intelligence and an ability to deal with humans can help a pack member's status since it can help the pack, on the other hand though, acting to much like a human can have a negative affect on status within the pack).

Personality: Simon's greatest strength isn't his strength or his speed, but his mind. An excellent strategist and scholar, Simon sometimes spends too much time in his head, especially for a werewolf. Typically patient and introspective, Simon isn't one to bring attention to himself, but when he really believes in something, nothing short of hell or his father can stop him from voicing and acting on his beliefs.
Bio: Simon is the prodigal son of the Blake Pack. For most of his life he was the son his father hoped would succeed him in leading the pack, but Simon had his own ideas. He actually left the pack for four years to go to college across the country, something his father saw as a betrayal. Although he returned almost two years ago, Simon's status in the pack has been greatly reduced and he's often the scapegoat for his father's anger. He's trying to regain the pack's trust, but sometimes he doesn't seem to be trying too hard.

Appearance: Tall, dark, and handsome is how Lewis would describe himself, and he's not entirely too far from it. He stands an impressive 6'2" tall, with dark brown skin and hazel eyes. His dark hair is closely cut, he has a sharply pointed "soul patch" on his chin, and he has a somewhat disfiguring scar on the left side of his face. The scar - looking somewhere between a the indented circle of a gunshot scar and the slash of a knife wound, is the result of a gunshot that grazed his cheek and tore it open. All of Lewis' grins, smile and even frowns have been rendered somewhat lopsided as a result. Lewis' body is kept in shape and is well toned, though it's got a few scars of it's own - both from gunshots and knives - and is usually kept covered by the rather professional and dressy clothing Lewis favors that typically makes him look more like a Private Eye out of a 1950's film noir.
Personality: Lewis is an extremely inquisitive individual, a trait that sometimes gets him into trouble. Lewis love mysteries - and more importantly, he loves solving them. Not knowing the answer drives him up a wall like an unscratched itch, and his pursuit of the answer can sometimes drive others up a wall. Lewis is also an optimist, and likes to think the best of people and situations until evidence arises to prove him wrong - for Lewis is a strong believer in evidence and justice.
Bio: Lewis is and has been the Reilly pack's ties with the local police, though it hasn't helped them terribly much as they - like the Blake pack - have been confined to outskirts and suburbs by the Harrisons, leaving him employed with the suburban police forces rather than the bigger one in the city itself. In spite of how his activity has occasionally proven aggravating to the Pack and it's Alpha, Lewis' position is useful, as are his skills. It was only natural that one with his skills would be chosen to scout out Seattle for the Reilly pack, as it would give the rest of the pack a break from him, as well as result in thorough reports on the state of the Harrison' territory so they could plan their next moves better. As a result of his police training Lewis carries his service weapon whereever he goes, and his fondness of older movies motivated him to make said service weapon a revolver - a .44 Magnum, like the one carried by Dirty Harry. It's served him well, even if the powerful gun has a weakness in that only holds six shots at a time, a fact that's caused a few of his scars when he ran dry on ammo at an inopportune time.

Rhayne is a very passionate person. She loves to eat and drink, she loves to listen to her music, she loves to ride her motorcycle whenever possible. Most of the time she is a person of action, not of thought. She is easily annoyed if people are unwilling to make a decision and take action afterwards — because of this trait she is prone to bring herself in dangerous situations. But she is also a person who welcomes every challenge life comes along with — even a good fight. She is impatient and dislikes it very much when she is forced to wait for something. But the most important thing to know about her is the fact that she always sticks to her principles.
Bio:
Rhayne is the daughter of Simon’s Aunt - the younger sister of Simon’s father. After her parents had been killed when she was still a young child, Simon’s father cared for her. Because of this she grew up with Simon very closely and when he left the pack for going to college she also perceived this as a kind of betrayal to their friendship — she felt being left behind in some sense. But despite of this anger towards her cousin she still feels a strong connection to him and would never leave him alone.

Appearence: Erik is a 6'3" White male, With long pitch-black hair, and amber eyes. Erik has a Very muscular build. He usually wears long blue jeans, a plain black shirt, and leather boots. his canines are slightly longer than that of a normal humans. inside his each boot, is a long, curved, and elegant knife, with a 6 in. hilt, and a 12 in blade, with ribs in its curve. Also sometimes has his berreta tucked in his pants behind him, underneath his untucked shirt. He does this mostly when he is behind the bar, where he works.
Personality: Erik is quiet and relaxed, very laid back. But if he is threatend, or provoked in any way, he goes into a rage. Unlike many people, erik uses his rage to his advantage, to help fuel him, make him stronger and faster, as well as making him able to take large amounts of pain, and punishment. He, like the feral wolf inside him, has a very large sense of honor, and holds his morals very high. Family first, self second, Strength, glory, and honor to the wolves.
Bio: Erik has lived with the wolfspirit inside him for 10 years. Even before he was reborn into a child of the wolves, he was quiet and kept to himself. He liked to read alot, both fiction, and non-fiction, as well as poetry, and song. A trait that stayed with him throughout his life. When he changed, many things changed withen him, but the one that changed most was his anger. He now stood up for himself when he was provoked. He did not shun his anger, like he had before, he embraced it. Whenever he had a spare moment he meditated, coming to terms with the wolf spirit inside his soul, Molding and shaping the many things that he had gained after the change. It took him 4 years to fully mold the changes to his wishes. He fine-tuned his most two most vauluble gifts, his new-found fury, and his honor. Now he was in controll as he raged. He gained the same advantages from his rage, with less of teh disadvantages, and could now turn his rage on and off. He joined the Reilly pack, having met up with a few of the members of the pack when he moved to the outskirts of seattle. His girlfreind, Kira(who is also a werewolf) named him "Nightmane", after seeing him change on the full moon, and noticing that his shaggy fur was the darkest shade of the sky.
