Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Hello all! I have decided to breed eggs for people. I am available for Seasonal, Grey, White, Frill, Skywing, and Guardian dragons. I'll post my current list in my signature and update it when a new pair is available. I will not breed black, silver, or stone dragons. However stone dragons will be available later. PM me and i'll get back to you when I can.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Coolness.
Yeah, I got bitten by the Giving Tree bug too. I'm gonna start breeding Storms and Winters for people. If Kitalphar genders male and I get a male Skywing or Storm for Blarloga, I'll do Waters and Skywings, too. Myrkr-kelda and An-Nasl have bred pretty consistently, alternating between Storm and Skywing eggs.
The Storm Furies will come back into heat in a couple days. Let's see what comes out of that new Storm egg.
ETA: I'm sending tendrils of Dragonly seduction into the E-Playa, the Burning Man board. There's lots of dragon fans in Burning Man so I considered it fertile ground for seeding

Not supposed to tell but eh! Screw it.
That's a Skywing. Comes out of the egg with wings, gets a second pair when it genders, and adults into one of the more (IMO) beautiful sprites.
Sometimes I think the DC mods specifically set up "gotchas" for newbies just to mess with them. They need to deflate a few hundred PSI. The fansites are a lot friendlier.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Hey Weredragon25, buried in the Little Dragon Menagerie post, there is a link to a site that helps hatch dragons automatically and pretty much ensures that yours will make it. It requires it's own registration, and all that, but it's out there. Rather, it's in here, it's in this thread. Somewhere.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Whooh! Weredragon!
Got yourself scroll-locked!
I clicked all of 'em.
So how'd everyone weather the last Lagmonster attack? I didn't lose anything on my scroll but a couple of my dragons' progeny languished to death in the AP, unfortunately
Good to be back, though. I joined three breeding projects and started my own. Anyone with Splits is welcome to join the Gemini Bloodline. Look for it under "Site Discussion: Breeding" on the DC forum. We're closing the list May 1st to give everyone time to hatch, gender, mature and check for compatibility in their dragons, then the breeding project goes from May 22 to June 20.

Hey, I am still kinda new to DC, I don't mean to sound... OK, well, to sound dumb. But, can someone explain what the whole views, special views, and clicks are? I have no idea, I was thinking that they all ean the same thing, but that is obviosly wrong.

I got a new one since the last one hatched. It is the last one on the line. By the way, does anyone know the old norse for "golden halo."

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
I couldn't find "halo" but I did find "golden-horned."
It is: "Gull-Hyrndr." Not exactly the same but a close approximation.
I have a few Norse-named dragons too, mostly my Storm females (aka, the Storm Furies). There's Myrkr-kelda ("Fountain of Darkness"), her daughter Lopt-myrkva ("Sky-grows-dark") and their adopted sister Vindr-myrkva ("Wind-grows-dark"). They're kind of my Cave's answer to Shakespeare's Weird Sisters.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Thanks for the info. I already named her Asdis, scandinavian for goddess. I will probably use "golden horned" on the next female with gold in her.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Ummm, I'm not sure how to say this, but, thank you all for you're help with the eggs. You all got them to the number of views that they needed to hatch, but for some reason they didn't hatch. Even though a lot of them died, you all helped me get Asdis and Gull-Hyrndr to hatch. Again, thank you all.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
I'm going through a drama right now.
I have 1 week to get 3 female Splits for my boys and the two I grabbed/bred this week hatched out boys
So I released one and froze another, and pushed my last remaining Split mare up to the top so she'd trickle down some girl-mojo.
Another friend on the DC site is swinging me two female hatchies tonight, so that's at least two of them taken care of. I need a third for Classical Gas Vega but he can sit out Split Breeding Day, I guess.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Well FINALLY I've managed to get four eggs that I'm happy with. It took me a while, and they're all merely commons, but it's better than having a slew of pinks, mints, and greens. Now I've got a horse dragon egg, an albino egg, a red egg, and a daydream egg. I'll be happy when these guys hatch.
I'm also accepting aide, by the way.

I've got 9 adult dragons now, and several hatchlings. I'm loving this game.

Re: Little Dragon Menagerie...
Cool, Renorei, you got a CB Split!
Very happy to see Splits dropping in the Cave again. We were scared they were extinct, but I suppose the ratios are balancing out again. The Split gene pool was starting to hit a bottleneck.
I just joined the Astronomy lineage, the Equus lineage, registered with the Split Lovers' Society, and started the Mardi Gras lineage. As you can tell, I've gone and scroll-locked myself with five eggs but they're due to all hatch in a 36-hour period so I won't be locked for long. And I'll have an Elemental, two Patriots, an Astronomer, a Tempest and an Alchemical when they're all done growing up.
