What's the name of the movie?

Post by Alpha »

A couple of weeks ago when I went to the movies, they showed a trailer for an upcoming film that looked very interesting. But for the life of me, I can't remember what it's called. It was about some gargantuan monsters who came through a portal in the sea (I think?) to attack the Earth. To combat them, Mankind has built some equally gigantic robots.

Do any of you guys know the name of the movie?

Thank you! I'm just hoping that the rest of the film lives up to what was shown in the trailer. :D

Basically, GlaDOS from Portal sends Evangelion/Gundam mechs to fight Cthulhu. If this movie isn't awesome, I'll be very disappointed. Granted, I won't be too worked up if the plot is weak or the characters one-dimensional, but it should be what Battleship tried to be, only better at it.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

GODZILLA would work same as conventional means(tanks, planes) but Kaiju has toxic blood so spilling blood in city is bad idea that's why jeagers were build they are armed with weapons witch neutrelize toxic blood.

Those Kaiju remind me of the Cloverfield creature. Although a full grown clovie would probably make them look puny in comparison.

Haha... why would a chart have the Chucky doll and the Wicked Witch of the West instead of a man of average height (6ft) :? Anyways, that chart's scale is off. Look at the white silhouette representing the witch. It comes up to the T-Rex's chest. There's no way a human female would be that tall. Besides, the Cloverfield creature that was shown in the movie was just a baby. That suggest that the adult form must be much, much, larger!

I agree! The battle scenes were frigging awesome! Based on what was shown and said in the movie, there just has to be a part 2!

Saw Pacific Rim on opening weekend. Came out very impressed, epic fight scenes and the camera didn't even shake so much like in Transformers. :D
