The REAL story of the First Werewolf.

Post by BSchweda »

Greetings!

I've recently published a book in which I uncover what may be the REAL and HIDDEN story of the first werewolf.

Although most of us know that Lycaon is the first werewolf of Western tradition, and comes to us out of Greek Mythology... do you know what his relationship was with the moon, how he was killed, or that he had a illegitimate child?

After digging through various texts by Ancient Greek writers, I unearthed the potential for a much more complex and complete version of the original myth. The story is written in the style of oral tradition and features beautiful illustrations by the artist, Liz Emirzian.

Take a moment to investigate!
All best,
Brendan Schweda

Not to be a jerk -- but...
I don't know about you, but I think it's sort of classy to make your first two posts on a message board nothing more than an advertisement for your new book.
:eyebrow:
I mean, would you care to elaborate on your ideas somewhat? Perhaps discuss the premise, or -- I don't know -- something other than a simple teaser? How was the Lycaon myth distinct from later werewolf mythology? What do you mean by 'the hidden history' of the first werewolf?

...Or do we have to by the book? :read:

Agreed, it seems premature to be discussing a newly released book that likely nobody's read yet, and since there's little invitation to utilize the forum for discussion's sake, I think Classifieds might have been more appropriate place for these opening posts.

That said, no reason we can't make a discussion of it in due course and season, and if BSchweda has the time to oblige us with discussions and/or an introduction, it'll be nice to have another published author aboard the forums.

Welcome BSchweda.

Hey, Uniform Two Six!

Thanks for your interest!
I wrote a book in order for it to be read. I'm not going to retell the story in this post.
There is no call for any more information than is warranted by a teaser.

However!!! ...If you'd like to know more about the story, I invite you to listen to the streaming audio version, here:
https://soundcloud.com/btschweda/lycaon-artemis (runtime approx. 10 minutes).

Hope you enjoy!

Cheers, lovec1990!

I also invite you to visit the streaming audio version of the story: https://soundcloud.com/btschweda/lycaon-artemis

By the bye, one reason I'm so keen on getting the word out, is that I'm a big fan of the illustrator (http://www.LizEmirzian.com), and am happy to promote her work.

Please post any comments or questions.
Thanks!

Reference active forum members, hence discussions in due course and season, when said active form members have caught up.
