ok, so i was at the most interesting class of all week. and while the teacher was talking i fell asleep .
i have had no sleeping problems or anything, so i cant understand why i was so tired.
good thing only the guy sitting next to me noticed it (altho he drew all over my papers)
That sucks if you sleep through the good classes. I feel really tired too sometimes, a lot more lately, but I haven't slept in class yet... I tired sleeping in library though once. Didn't work, lol.
i'don't have any sleeping problems, i just love to sleep i sleep in alomost in every class, (its fun to see the teachers face when right after i was snoring lodly threw one of thier lectures )
Mrh. It happens; sometimes I can't bring myself to pay any attention whatsoever.
On a lighter note, on occasion I've managed to actually extricate permission to sleep from teachers
Generally only during a test after I'm done, or while waiting for remenants of the class to finish up something, but it's enough. Funny how I can do short naps easily in the daytime like that, but sometimes it can take me an hour to get to sleep at night.
I sleep way too much I think. I like to stay up late, sometimes till 3-4ish in the morning. Then I go to sleep, and get up around 2 pm(sometimes, if I got nothing else better to do) I take day naps pretty frequently as well. I sometimes wonder if I have a problem...psycological or otherwise
That can happen sometimes. I've already nodded off a few times in my English class already, which is odd since that's my favorite subject, meanwhile the the other three classes that I'm none too thrilled to be taking (African Literature, Microeconomics, and Biological Environments of Canada (BiEnCa) have kept my attention from start to finish.
I think it's because most of the stuff in English is stuff I already know, so since I can predict half of what's going to come out of her mouth, that's what gets me to nod off. That could just be the case with your class -- our favorite classes tend to be the ones we're good at, so if you feel like you're being baby-talked or being lectured about something you think you should know by now, you might be more likely to zone. The other class I fell asleep in more than once, for example, was Oral Interpretation, and having been a stand-up artist in training back then too, a lot of her lectures felt really pointless.

Gah, now you'll have set off the placebo effect on all of us. Well, as this thread indicates, it might not be much of a change, but still...
Anyway, if you find yourself sleeping more when you get more sleep, it's probably just lethargy; try going for a nice long walk in the mornings before school. Physical activity tends to do away with that sort of thing, and I find the cold brings the world into wonderful sharpness. Not sure why, I just seem to think more clearly when everyone else is shivering and running for a coat...
