So how would you rate a Boar...
Or a an Elk (a male deer, right ?)...
Both symbols of great spiritual power in many European pagan cultures...
And neither of them "outclassed" by a wolf.... (in my humble vieuw )
Sister of Wolves, seek your compagnions

I summon your instincts

You do know that a wild boar is rather dangerous and if it is a were, can rip a human apart and give other weres a good fight. I guess I'm the only one who likes the idea of a werepig.
Strength really has nothing to do with it. I'd be uncomfortable with most of the instincts that come from an animal that is regularly the diiner of another.
I don't suffer from lycanthropy, I enjoy every minute of it!

I like the idea of a were-boar, werewolf, weretiger, pretty much any were-critter running about I find interesting, just most people wouldn't want to be a werepig. There would be definately advantages to being a Were_____ but advantages and disadvantages vary from species to species.
any kind of invertebrate or water-animal
plants
small animmals
rodents
marmots
really big animals (bears and up, pretty much, like elephants, pandas, etc)
meh:
anything else not in the 'cool' and 'gimme' categories
cool:
birds of prey
felines
equines
carnivorous dinosaurs (wheee!)
gimme!:
tiger
lion
falcon
wolf
fox
now, all of these are assuming that we ignore all mass realted disparities- i.e., if i turn itno a tiger, i'll be 200 or whetever it is pounds, if it's a bird, 3 or whetevr it is pounds, etc.
that's just nromal animals, almost any mythological creature would be cool, but gryphons, dragons, unicorns, hipogryps, pegasi and any other of the type with wings and four feet that aren't disgusting-ee looking, would be frikken sweet. (GIMME!)

Some of the more common examples would be Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Allosaurus. To name just a very small few.
In my oppion being a were one of those would be pretty awesome. Although I still think a wolf would be best.
I would say that "in the end, they all taste like chicken."
But, from what I've heard, wolf tastes like gamey goat.
And my problem is that goat is still on my list of "Things I want to eat before I die."

... And no, "hufu" is not on that list, as I'd rather die a painful death involving Britney Spears' next movie, than to try a tofu novelty product devised by non-Chinese. Especially a tofu novelty product that's supposed to taste like people.
