You detect someone who's been there, done that, bought every damn thing in the souvenir shop and gave it away on Freecycle!

Let me just quote a recent comic strip I read:

Fifteen-year-old teen is languishing on the couch, moaning, "Woe is me!"
Father says, "Woe!?! WOE?!? You have no responsibilities! No mortgage, no bills, plenty of food whenever you want, no taxes to pay or anything else that comes with adulthood!"
Teenage says to his father, "You're right. Woe is YOU."

Don't sweat it, though. Being considered a legal adult has its perks. Another instance:
I was in the grocery store. This little kid stares at me and says condescendingly, "You're FAT!" And I said,
"Yes. And you're short, awkward, your palate hasn't evolved past mac 'n cheese, and you still have to do what your parents tell you to do." And I gave him a coldly evile smirk. His dad smiled, told me "Good answer" and made the kid apologize
The moral of that story: as a kid, if other kids diss and harass you, you have to suck it up. If you're an adult, you can tell the lil' monsters to put a sock in it and *they* have to suck it up.

But surely it was a laugh :D

When I move out, sure, I'll have bills to pay, job to keep, a course to mash into my head! But it'll be far more... Something! I think :scream:

Funneh! :meat: Such swift thinking.

Work: I am a systems/network admin for a software company, a nice high pressure, high visibility, high stress job.
Also part time college student

hobbies: As a nerd, I love working on my computer. Also enjoy playing with my dogs (two shepherd mutt pups, boy and girl) and spending time with my wife. I also draw quite a bit when ever I get the chance. May even post something here.

Well, I'm still in high school, but I'm hoping to study to become a vet afterwards.
I could care less if I am a "freak". I don't care what other people think about me. I am me. I am different from the masses of society in unique and profound ways, anyway. Being physically different would trouble me not

Im a student at an agricultural college. My lectures include buisness studies (yeah, not really animal like but it focusses mainly around the pet store and veterinry clinic), Biology A level, Care and welfare of farmyard Ruminants, Nursing, Animal Behaviour, Handling and a load of other stuff revolved around animals.

Its fun, i love it 8) I originally joined to become and Ethologist, but im thinking of going into farming (some, especially my father would consider that a big step down. Bleurgh.. But I care more about life experiences and having fun on the way than a big pay check at the end of the month)

My hobbies include: Paying with and training my dogs, the countryside, walking and hiking, the net, art (appreciating and creating), My guitars (although i am very out of practice now and will prolly need to re-learn it all  ) and Food and Cooking lck

what a fun life i lead

I'm still in high school (9th grade). But once I grow up, I will become a vet.

Some time ago, I really had no hobbies ('cept for reading and fiddling with computer), but in the passing year more and more has started to build up.

For example, I've started to draw and play harmonica. It's starting to get kinda hard to find time for everything. (But hey, that's just becouse I'm lazy)

I'm curently employed as a Maintenance engineer at a printing firm, been so for the last 3 years while taking my apprenticship after i finished college, Though in 15 weeks , around mid september I'm leaving it , mainly from low pay (I can afford to run a car and not much else) and abusive management to do this: http://perseus.herts.ac.uk/courses/aade/mt.cfm

Some pics below are of i'll be doing after the 4 year course, thankfully the experienance i've got will mean i'll have an easier time getting a job i hope

I spend most of the week behind a deli counter with very few customers and very little play. Usually I spend it making sandwiches and hurting my accident prone self on the knives, deep fat fryers, saws, grinders and cubers that we have there...now that I've typed it out I have to wonder why am I still there? But I'm starting college soon and thats...diffrent to say the least.

For hobbies I write, I draw, I read comics and I game. Thats a Quadfecta (I also make up words) of the nerdly arts. Yes. I am, how you say, a renaissance man when it comes to dice chuckin' and knowlege of Superhero origins. I'm really not as sad as I sound :)

Zoë: Either blow us all up or rub soup in her hair. It's a toss-up.
Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.
