Werewolf looks
I was looking at some pictures of Werewolves lately, and I noticed a few things. Most Werewolves seem to be a little more human than wolf. Some don't even look like wolves at all, more like random beasts like the Hulk. I find Werewolves that are more wolf-like are better. In Harry Potter, the Werewolf is scrawny, and has no hair at all. I'd say it should be somwhat shaggy, with quite a bit of fur on the back of the neck for protection. I found a picture, but it was to big for my avatar, so i'll put it here:
It's a big pic, and I couldn't shrink it in photoshop because photoshop made it become a massive file... grrr... Could you type the description of your ideal looking Werewolf, or at least post a picture. Thankyou.

well, if you see a glance of a werewolf, you shouldn't relise right away what it is. it should look enough like a wolf so that it takes a second look to be sure. they should be able to stand on their hind legs, but dont very often; only when they look behind them, or are waiting for somthing. while running, they should be in a crouched position, on all four legs.

Sigh....
Just so long as it doesn't look like one of the Lon Chaney, Jr. Werewolves, OR something from Teen Wolf...although those Forms are the most likely to apply of Werewolves really existed.....(and we all know they don't...)

yep, thats the same as me.Anyway, I like werewolves that look like oversized wolves maybe with a few differences (opposable thumbs, human eyes?) that would make you realize they are not wolves, if you could get a close and long enough look.

I imagine werewolves to look mostly wolf at first glance. Opposable thumbs certainly work but I've always felt the eye color should change. Not drastically but a blue eyed person would have perhaps a brighter blue hue (or any light eyed individual). A dark eyed person would perhaps take on a yellow tint or something to that effect. But that's just me.

Exactly...Lupin wrote:Wolves have round pupils, like humans :p
WTF Xiphan?...
...though it's true that some Foxes have cat-like slitted eyes, NO wolves do.

I don't like the overly wolfy looking werewolves. IMO, you definitely SHOULD be able to tell from first glance that the thing that you are looking at (while it does certainly look wolfy) is NOT a wolf.
Here are some links to show what I think a werewolf should look like.

Personally I think that the best werewolf portrail up to date would have to be the one in the movie VanHelsing. I was blown away at the Werewolf VanHelsing turned into at the end of the movie, it was the most best looking one I have ever seen. I have been a werewolf fan for as long as I can remember, but just seeing that one werewolf sparked an even greater intrest in me.
Let the hunt begin...

I think the design was good, but the execution left much to be desired...
The shape was good, but the textures and lighting made it glaringly obvious that it was cg. With a little more time it could have been much better. I mean, look at Aslan in the Chronicles. I knew going in that it was 100% cg, but my family didn't know that and they thought that most of the scenes were shot with a real lion.
