I loved it!

"There will come a moment when you have the chance to do the right thing."

"I love those moments! I like to wave at them as they pass by"
-
"Here! *Bang!* An undead monkey!"
-
"Captain Sparrow!"

"Elizibeth...? You know these clothes do not flatter you at all. It should either be a dress or nothing, and I happen to have no dress in my cabin..."
"every set-back, a step foward. every failure, an extra oportunity for success. every day of defeat, a victory!"

So exciting I loved it. As far as playing will I am not so sure about that yet. I honestly think he may bite the dust in the next one so she doesn't have to hurt him or sparrow will die that way she doesn't have to make the decision. I did love can't wait for the next one.

I saw it last Sunday. Exellent movie, but he ending bugged the hell out of me. It didn't provide much of a conclusion to the story. Cliffhangers are for books and TV shows. Not movies.

You see, this is why Halo 2's ending sucked.

The movie in all was good.

Likes:
Orlando .. ^^
The CGI was amazing
Jack was still a horn dog
They kept it humerous
Norington gets what he desvrved
and did i say orlando.

Dislikes
The ending
It was getting to sci fi-ish (davy jones and the kraken)
It seemed to get a bit slow in parts
THE ENDING *glares*
SEDUCTIVE AND DESTRUCTIVE

I WANT MY ANTHONY BROWNRIGG PLUSHIE RIGHT NOW !!!!!!

No, you aren't. I stuck around for the crackerjack. But I'm the movie-geek type that sticks around through the end creds anyway.

So. My review.

"I got a jar of di-irt! I got a jar of diii-irt! And guess what's in it!"

And yes, I "costumed" in pirate garb. I put that in quotes because that's pretty much the way I dress all the time, a nice mixture of Bohemian and piratical garb.

Davy Jones flat-out ROCKED. I thought he wouldn't get a lot of screen time but he was all over the place and he and his crew pretty much rewrote the book on sea monsters. They run rings around the Lovecraftian Deep Ones. Did anyone catch the one with a moray eel nesting in its belly? Eegads, when they cut another one open and rotten fish spilled out I could bloody well SMELL the stink. That was so sickeningly righteous.

The three-way fight between Will, Sparrow and Norrington was classic, especially the part on the mill wheel.

The shot with Jack Sparrow going head-to-head with the Kraken was beautiful, I wouldn't mind getting that as a tattoo. We'll see if I'm still jazzed about it seven years from now, if I am then I will. Be cool to render it like an illustration on an old piece of parchment.

I missed about half the dialog but I wouldn't mind going back two or three times to get it.

Okay, here's what I think was happening with that scene between Sparrow and Elizabeth.

Spoiler alert.

She was tricking him into backing up against the mast and chaining him to it so he would appear to be the captain that went down with the ship, thus showing himself "honourable" and getting Davy Jones off his tail. So now, yeah, okay, the Black Pearl's gone crunch but I get the feeling Sparrow ain't dead, and now he's a free agent. He's not in Davy Jones' debt anymore. Gods know Sparrow wouldn't have volunteered for it, he's such a blaggard.

Most of the people I've met that saw the film bitched about it ending the way it did. Gah, kids these days!!! I want to yell at them, "Haven't you heard of cliff-hangers?!?" Yeah, we're gonna have to wait until next May to see the next one, so what?! It'll be good, it's coming, just get on with your life and wait it out!

[/rant]

Anyway, I heard a tale that they didn't really write out a script, they just assembled an ensemble cast who play well together, sketched out ideas and a rough plotline for the effects crew to follow, and let the actors play it out. The editing was a little choppy but not annoyingly so, and I had a blast 'n a half. Judging from the laughter and general crowd reaction around me, so did everyone else in the theatre.

But the high point for me? Those two Mutt 'n Jeff pirates. I loved those guys. They had all the best lines!

I just got back from the film, and I loved it.

...^%$^!!!!...

...you mean there was a bonus scene after the credits?!

I was thinking about staying, but the movie didn't end untill after midnight here (1:19 am now) and I needed to use the restroom, so I left as soon as the credits began to roll.

...I missed the scene in X3 too...

I've really got to just start sticking around to read the credits once in a while.

(I actually stayed throught the credits for "Over the Hedge"...but mostly because there was animation all the way through it...)

Nah, the crackerjack was pretty good. You can't beat that tribe, they kicked a** (along with pretty much the rest of the movie).

My god it wasnt bad. People just say that cause they hate the feeling to wanting for more, you should see half life 2 ending, that left an empty stomach.

I didnt like how it ended...its ok for fans of the movie...but considering i didnt find it that interesting the ending (if u can call it that) only pissed me off. And I didnt like Elizabeth in that movie either.

But it was very, very funny. (except the part where theyre chasing the dog of course) I liked the part where the boys are fighting and shes trying to get them to stop. And she eventually just sits down with her arms crossed. hahahhaa
