Or something similar.
*nods towards the guy who's claiming to be a government scientist*
Of course, I try not to be too rude outright unless they're really obvious; I'm too hopeful that someone's actually not lying to not give them a chance to prove themselves.

There are always those who condemn themselves immidiately, like fredriksam. You had pictures but the 'file got too big'. Riiiight...
I'm not naturally a rude outright person. However, I think coming into a forum and lying to everyone is pretty rude, so I generally respond accordingly. If someone wants to roleplay, we've got threads for that. If they are indeed a werewolf, but have no proof or are not willing to share it, then keep it to yourself. I don't want to hear it.

Especially when they come into a thread that discusses what werewolves would be like if they were real, and act as if they are a werewolf and know what they are talking about, and as if they are an authority on the matter. Ugh.

You can be a therian or furry if you want. You can even be enthusiastic about it. But you can't come in here pretending to be something you aren't, just because you really wish you were.

*steps down from soapbox*

Not just as if they are an authority, but as if they are the only authority.

It's one thing to say "here's what I think" or "here's what the werewolves in the book I'm writing are like." It's a completely different thing to say "here's the truth and **** you if you don't like it."

So for once you and I agree on something: friends don't let friends p-shift.

I am in complete agreement on this matter.

For the fakers to maintain their ruse, they must act as if they KNOW exactly what they are talking about, enevitably forcing them to denounce anyone who disagrees with them in order to maintain the lie.

...please...just don't keep lying.

Share your opinions...share your ideas...share the intricate details of what you have created for your book or RPG...share the vivid details of the dream you had that you are convinced was more than just a dream...

...but stop outright lying. It's irritating as heck.

The positive use of the word 'anymore'. It's not, "Why is food so expensive anymore", it's, "Why is food so expensive now."

...Did I miss something?

Hrm. Well I can think of more than a few things that annoy me. On the top of my list: hypocrites. Especially ones that tell me to be nice and to act like everyone's perfect, and who then turn aound and point out everything they think is wrong with me. Makes me want to strangle them.

"OMG, you're liek so emo!" That's obnoxious too. While usually not directed at me, it's still annoying as all hell. Can't people come up with anything better to say than that?

Babies, kids, yappy dogs, talkative people, clingy people, Jesus wannabes (self-sacrificing martyrs who think they can save the world...I've met many), stupid people... *lists stuff for several months*

Many of the "people who pretend to be werewolves" posts in this thread were referring to him in particular.

When it comes to online games, cheaters, jerks and n00bs are about as inevitable as death and taxes.

The only online game I ever played was Toon Town. I could have sworn there wouldn't be any cheaters and/or jerks on that game -- WRONG!! Nothing more aggravating then when somebody steps on the elevator of a 4 story building, then steps off at the last second so you get sent up alone. :x It's the whole reason I was never interested in Final Fantasy XI -- because I know it's just swarming with Sephiroth wannabes.

Something else I'd like to comment on. . . Fan girls of actors or singers that haven't gone through puberty yet.

B5 riot
B5: ages 10-17

I saw a similar pattern at a Harry Potter forum after the Sorceror's Stone came out -- a bunch of forum members kept posting over and over again about how they thought Daniel Radcliffe was "sooooo hot!"

. . . are we so sex-obsessed as a nation that we can't even wait for a celebrity's voice to crack yet?!!

Oh yeah, and there is a difference between "Cute" and Sexy". Just because someone says someone is cute, doesn't mean they want to sex them. Like if some says, "Oh, that drawing is so cute!" doesn't meen she wants to have sex with it. (Eww) The best they can get is a nice cuddle, that's it. When someone says, "Oh, that guy is HOT!" Then they want to meet his dutch uncle.
