Actually, I should note, I've lived, in, Alaska, Minnesota, and Idaho, plus I've traveled quite extensivly to various locations in the Western US.
Eastern US, eh, not that interested in it. Furthest east I've gone is Chicago and I thought it was rather boring there.
Oddly enough, despite being a Mormon, I've never spent much time in Utah, beyond driving through briefly.
Go fig.

You're a Mormon too? nice. I live in the dead center of the mormon population: "Happy Valley" (near BYU, and also I have like 5 temples within 45 minutes of my house and one I can see from my window).WolvenOne wrote:Oddly enough, despite being a Mormon, I've never spent much time in Utah, beyond driving through briefly.

Mormon? Never heard of it before.... The west is too boring for me. So many strange accents and nothing but barren land. At least it's better than the south, I walked into a diner in Tennessee and everyone dropped whatever they were doing to stare at me in dumb amazement for about 10 minutes after I sat down.

Okay, Hopefully I pinned cologne correctly! Would have been easier with the rhine as a point of reference ... But it's not that bad, since I'm traveling around in NRW a lot, cause I'm still living partly in my home region, the Siegerland (don't bother if you don't know it, people talking a little bit growly there and BTW the heraldic animal of my hometown is a golden wolf on blue ground - yeah, I'm spreading useless knowledge

Unfortunatly I don't know where it comes from. The only noble's that were here in this area were 'Wilhelm von Oranje' who fought some war which reason I forgot.
Our town had another crest before this one. It wasn't very nice at all. It showed the Ferndorf (the river flowing through our town : Hilchenbach means something like 'Saint Creek' BTW)) and Saint Vitus, the patron of our church.
There had to be a very good reason to change the crest, cause I doubt a town could change a crest very easily ...
