“Fine, I won't tell you then,” he says, feeling hurt... for all of 2 seconds.



“Hrmm. I think he used to be the Captain at best. Those guards listened to him out of habit, but it didn't look like they were supposed to.

“He probably doesn't have much authority with the guards now... especially after that fight.”



He disclaims, shrugging: “That's the way I see it, anyway.”

Akijiu disregarded the matter of how Ashin got the clothes, focusing on the bundle. "I take it those are for us then?" he asked, smirking.

Ashin smirks back: "That depends. You willing to help me pay off the bill?"

"I've got brown and grey," he offers.

"Pay off, as in how?" Akijiu raised a blond eyebrow. "As you well know, i lack money."

"As do I, but the deal is: I pay for these after I have a chance to earn some money. I'm willing to let you have them, but you need to help me out," Ashin explains, getting just a bit irritated.

He continues: "Look. I've already done all the work of tracking down someone willing to make such an offer--it's a good deal. You in or not?"

"Sounds good to me," Akijiu replied. "What kind of help do you need?"

"Just four Copper Flashes per set you take--that's all the help I need," Ashin replies, "For payment at a later date."

"Agreed?"

“Okay, sure. Here you go:” Ashin says as he hands over the grey outfit, which consists of a shirt, some trousers, and a cloak.

Shawna nodded her thanks and dissapeared up the stairs to find a place to change.

"Works for me," Akijiu replied.

"Good, good."

Ashin hands to Akijiu the remaining outfit, which consists of the same articles as the one given to Shawna.

Akijiu nodded and headed out into the alley to change, tossing his rags on the ground and dressing in his new clothing, keeping only thing from before; Godien's sword. He headed back inside the room, fully dressed. "Much better," he said.

Shawna came down shortly after,

"So, what is this job we must do?"

Ashin remains silent, not quite sure what job Shawna is referring to.

Does she think I tracked down a job for her too, in addition to the clothes? Geez.



...or is she talking about something else?

"What do you mean?"

Shawna blinked. "Some way to help you pay for the clothes...oh...wait...never mind....I think I misunderstood...I'll do my best to pay you back...later."

She looked at the two men, "We still need to figure out why we were lying in an alley without any memories, or at least not any useful ones."

Maybe if I figure out what was happening last night I'll remeber what I did with my weapons...

Shadow, lurking around the egdes of the conversation, listend to what the others were planning. She had no memories, herself, but that didn't bother her terribly much.

"Well, there is the matter of that strange corpse, the skull, it wasn't a human's, and it had claws, fleshless, yet fresh. And theres this guy," Akijiu said, jabbing a thumb in Haido's direction when he said 'this guy'. "Who has three fingers and a thumb, and scales not to mention he said something about being touch by 'magicks'....and theres the matter of the blood on us and our clothing...."

"This is a puzzle, yet we're missing peices."

Shadow recaptured the scene as she had woken up in her mind, and then said quietly, "Why not look at the place where we woke up? it might have some pieces we missed..."
