Hey, pack. I'm Arlishan-Marius Engelstalt (i know, loooong name) but it's Arlishan for short. I'm 15 almost 16 and I live in the middle of a lot of mexicans. Quent is cool, but I wish he didn't spend so many years hating and wanting to destroy the wolves. As for darcia *DROOLS the equivelent of Niagra Falls*.................. He is SOoooooooooooooo HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello!

This is the first time for me joining an Internetforum, so I'll need a little bit time to get along with it.

First of all I should introduce myself, I think ...

So, my 'true' name is Giulia and I'm from Germany, 21 years old and actually living in Cologne, studying Ethnology. I picked up the name Grayheart, cuz I feel very near to wolves and it's the nickname of one of my favorite novel characters (Dunno, if someone of you knows the Wolfwalker Novels, written by Tara K. Harper?)

I would call myself an absolutely Wolf and especially Werewolf-Freak. I love everything that has to do with Wolves and Werewolves! (My friends think I'm a little bit weird, because of this...)

I think my fascination for wolves started when i first saw the movie 'The Neverending Story'. My mother told me, that I was very scared by the Gmork, a wolflike creature hunting Atreju. Later this fear changed into somewhat like fascination. Another 'milestone' was the movie Teen Wolf with Michael J. Fox. I love this movie!

Hmm, think this is enough introduction in the first place ...

I would like to ask some questions that came to my mind, when reading around in this forum (I found The Pack, by the way, through the Link from Goldenwolfen's Site. She's an incredible artist!):
1: What is a Therian?
2. How can i add a picture to my profile?
3. Some tipps and tricks for a newbie?

Welcome to the The Pack Grayheart! I've never head about the Wolfwalker novels, what are they about?

I would call the Wolfwalker Novels some kind of 'High Fantasy'. They play on a foreign planet. The Protagonist is a woman called Dion (forget her full name, sorry). She's a Healer an has a very special connection to wolves, cause she has a thelepathically link to 'the gray ones'. In the setting of this world, this is a very honorful thing, cause not everyone is able to do so. Every Wolfwalker has one Wolf-Familiar, her's is called Gray Hishn. Dion feels what Hishn feels, can see, what Hishn sees and so on. This connection can cause a lot of trouble, especially when Hishn or Dion become angry ...

Soory, I'm at the moment not able to give a better description ...

Sounds interesting, I'll have to check that out.
As for the therian question, I'll have to let someone else get that one. All my information on the subjects comes from wikipedia, so it might not be right.

I guess I'll give my own description of a therianthrope....

I believe that they are people who have been born with or have awakened the animal within themselves and "allowed" it to share their body and spirit. I think the animal they have within them are probably their totem animal. Mine is a wolf, of course.

and for chezarwolf don't worry i find werewolfesses very sexy , and by the a poll we had a little while ago most of us are that kind of freaky so don't feel alone on that

This would have been my interpretation too, from that, what i already read in this forum from people calling themselves therianthropes.

So i could call myself maybe a therianthrope too, cause I'm having a very strong connection to wolves, especially to a spirit i tend to call the Shadowwalker. He's a Wolf, big black one with green eyes, Timberwolf, i suppose. Very often dreaming of him, helping me when I lost temporarily my orientation ... (Okay, if someone of my friends reads this, I'm finally the little weirdo ...) Personally I prefer to call him my Totemspirit.

Yeah.....I guess some werewolves can be hot, but it feels kinda weird saying it. But I'd be lying if I denied it.

It would probably be a lot less weird if there were werewolves, and you were a werewolf yourself. Or at least that's how I see it.
