actually, that reminds me. wednesday is no ordinary wednesday. it's Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent for Catholics! also, it's my friend Brittney's b-day. talk about crazy, huh?

I went for a job interview at the music school today

Unfortunately, while I impressed the hell out of them with my playing skills (Dunno how that happened, I always think I'm not impressive, but he liked my playing and they kept asking me to repeat the solo I played for them!), my sight reading was a little poor.

But the best thing is, all I have to do is come in and prove I can sight read enough...and I don't need an interview, since I'm now already on file. It's just lucky I know the people there!

3 months of intense sight reading for me now. I'm too slow and jerky at it. I know music theory and all that, it's just I learnt to play guitar by ear! Not by sight reading. Tablature lucky is easy but people still teach sight reading. Lucky for me I can hear a song and transcribe it using my ears...so that gives me a headstart on teaching a song someone brings in.

They think Im more suited to teach more advanced guitar.

Instead of simple sight reading.
