First thing this honestly reminded me of was when Donald Trump said he was going to sue Rosie O'Donnell. He said "wait and see" when people asked what for, and of course, he never did. There was never any actual legal implications -- it was a man with way too much influence throwing a great big temper tantrum.

I'm no expert on Australian politics, but I have a feeling Michael Atkinson's days in politics are numbered. All he's interested in is having people agree with him and punishing those who don't. I don't even see a guy who fancies himself as a moral defender anymore; I see a guy crying for attention and screaming demands for validation.

Oh God. . . Oh God -- oh holy mother of all. . . Okay, yes, it's politics again, but if this doesn't count as a legitimate venting subject, I don't know what will.

I don't even think I need to vent to be honest. It's pretty self-explanatory actually.

If that's what people in the Middle East think all capitalism looks like, that would explain why they hate us so much.

The part that amused me the most was all the idiots trying to fearmonger that if we didn't support Dubai, it'd go the way of Iran. But it's just the opposite: It's going to go the way of Iran as soon as the terrorists figure out there are 300,000 sickly, suicidal, borderline-psychotic slave laborers just waiting for someone to hand them a gun. They might be able to cover it up when they throw themselves off of construction projects, but how are they going to explain it away when they take a page out of the psycho American gun enthusiast's playbook and kill themselves by going on shooting rampages instead?

Dubai's problem is the same one Soviet Russia and the "People's" Republic of China have: They wanted all the benefits of western capitalism without any of the drawbacks; they want the excessive luxuries and bragging rights, but they don't want to have to pay for it, don't want to share the wealth, don't want to address the consequences, and especially don't want to deal with people like you and me that will point out just how incredibly BLEEPing flawed their system is.

Which is why Dubai, like the U.S.S.R. before it, is incredibly BLEEPing doomed. Which, honestly, is perfectly fine by me, seeing as they're still attracting despicable dregs and incompetent inbreds from all over the globe. The same people that almost completely bankrupted the western world with their bullcrap get-rich-quick schemes are now fleeing the west in either one of two directions: into China, or into Dubai, and guess what kind of business they'll be doing there as well.

Haliburton, the love-child of Bush and Cheney, the company that deliberately skyrocketed the national debt with a frivolous seven-year (and counting) war so they could snap up all of the arms and construction contracts, has since relocated its headquarters to Dubai. That is the kind of people Dubai is catering towards -- not just the richest 1%, but the dumbest 1% of the richest 1%. Dubai is trying to dig its way out of the global recession by attracting and catering to the very idiots that created it.

Really, reading the section about the drunken British expats only reminded me of one thing: Monty Python's "Upperclass Twit of the Year" sketch. These are people that won't notice that the entire system of Dubai is flawed from top to bottom until it finally collapses in on itself (and even when that happens, they'll blame it all on their slaves when they suddenly start shoving hookahs up their asses instead of wiping it for them).

So frankly, I am all for the complete and utter collapse of Dubai. When the slaves revolt and permanently introduce the heads of the Sheikh, the Emiratis and their pet inbred expats to their colons, the average IQ of the human race should go up about five points.

Until then, I hope this article doesn't get that many views, because the west still has a lot of rich irresponsible inbreds I'd like Dubai to take off our hands before the BLEEP hits the fan. Do you think we could convince Mitch McConnell or Michael Atkinson that they'd like it there?

The only thing Michael Atkinson ever cares about is making Australia a truly family-friendly country where everyone has to smile all the time, and the kids prim and proper with zero percent societal filth playing a Care Bears game with Modern Warfare gameplay. He's also a middle-class family man of a prick, and an insufferable clean freak who'd fine you tens of thousands of dollars for swearing at anyone, himself especially.

How come Bill Clinton never got that same benefit of a doubt? Does it bother anyone that the politician was the most honest when it came to his personal problems?

tonight, at the store i work:

it's about 8pm ya know, there are typically only 1-3 checkers around at this time, so lines get rather long. It's a common occurrence at our store. It's the night before easter, so there are procrastinators shopping in droves. So one of our employees, my friend paul is standing in line behind this older gentleman and his wife since he is on break and wants to buy a bottle of water: one of the checkers come by and open up a check stand next to him and stands waiting for people to come along.

paul notices that there is no waiting in the next check stand, unlike everyone else, and goes over.

The older gentleman loses it. He starts yelling about how paul was behind him previously, and whined to the checkers and paul about their "preferential" treatment, when that wasn't the case at all. He even went to the assistant manager in charge with his wife and lectured him for 10 solid minutes. Really? about someone "cutting" ahead of him in line? When it was his fault for not paying attention?

so now paul is expecting to be called into the office tomorrow by the head manager and get lectured/ yelled at, and a write up: which is the equivalent of a detention slip or a demerit at school; Which can also result in either suspension or "expulsion".

*facepalm*

there are worse stories from that place. It's a madhouse. working with customers (especially the crazy, grumpy, rude, whiny, and angry ones) sucks. It's like they don't even realize that they are talking to another person that's doing their utmost to help them!

Okay, heartless; what you do is what you just did here; only you do a printout of it. If the manager understands that your friend wasn't cutting and that the old man was not paying attention; things might work out a bit differently than you suspected.
Hint: When you're checking and you see another lane opening: Call it out! That will take some load off of you and keep the new checker from having to log for inactivity of their lane.
That way everybody wins.
Also keep in mind that some old people are alive ONLY because it's illegal to kill them.

That's universal. Every store I have ever worked in was like that: the nice people get their crap and get out so they don't waste your time while the jerks loiter, haggle, piss and moan about the product / service, complain that the prices are too high out loud within earshot of other customers, hold up the lines to tell you about how we're all going to be communist slaves soon and/or their new big fat SUV, etc., etc.

I worked at a convenience store for a month (only a month because the jerk that owned the place didn't feel like paying me the extra $0.50 an hour once my training period expired), and I would honestly swear that there were some people that came into the shop with the intent of getting under my skin.

If your boss has half a brain, he knows this already and will let it slide. Doesn't change the fact that the old guy was a total [expletive]; just means it's water under the bridge now.

Yeah, sorry, big list. Still, absolutely no discernible lyrics (even that one song with lyrics, that's engrish), 100% atmosphere.

I just find the idea of favoring any song and lyrics with wolf or animal connotations to be absolutely silly; it's like as if you can't live without eating ANYTHING that's got chili peppers in it, just because you like everything about chili peppers to the point that even the toilet paper feels like a chili pepper.

Buuuut it's not like as if my preference is any less sillier. I just know there's people out there who think that I'm a pot calling the kettle black. At least before they come say that to my face, just have a quick listen at what my definition of an appropriate playlist is for anything to do with werewolves or furries.
