I think you're thinking of "All-Star," which has appeared on plenty of soundtracks. That's a good one too, but unfortunately, the Astrolounge album disappeared when my brother (him again!) "borrowed" it last year.

Just sort of let WMP play on from there on automatic, which takes us to...

Band: Soundgarden
Album: Superunknown
Song: Fell On Black Days

Yeah, I had the misfortune of losing Astrolounge when I left it in a CD player at school. I had to go out and buy it again.

I also like "I'm a Believer" by Smash Mouth.

I know the original is by The Monkees. I like the Smash Mouth version better.

There's a couple of versions of that song, one of them I don't like very much, but the other one is good.

Odd...I didn't know there was several versions.

Yeah, it's become common to remix a song several times, once for the album version, once for radio, and once for anything you can think of. This is why I have 6 different copies of "I'll fly with you".

I heard of different version of one song from the same band.

But not many from a different band.

Well, it happens fairly often. It's a pain in the butt to keep track of, too.

Tell me about it!!

I heard of this one song on the radio. Went looking for the CD and it turned out to be a different version compared to the one I heard on the radio. :x

Yeah, that's where most of my mp3 dowloading comes from. The album version is different from the radio version, which is the one I want.

Not for me. I usually hear most of my new music like that on the radio (internet or traditional) so that's the one I like. I don't do much blind CD buying.

I don't remember the last time I bought a CD. I've been buying DVDs instead.

I always have the TV on in the background so I don't count it.

And now I am listening to a DJ having fun with playing Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time over and over.
