*comes to a small clearing......nice and sunny.....tall grass....and a small brook running through it*

*pads over to the brook and takes a small drink....raises head and looks around......sniffs the air......*

pads into the tall grass and lays down in the nice warm sun curls into a ball....*

lays there and closes my eyes but doesnt fall asleep........huffs out and siighs*

i do forgive you moon...i just dont forgive myself.....im dangerous....and i must not be around any of the others for fear of injuring them.....

but on the other paw...i just want to feel welcomed.....and accepted....

Well, while you may not realize it, not all of us are naive.

In this day and age, it's plenty easy to focus your energy on being mean, or dangerous, or whatever you feel like being. The real challenge is direct that energy on being nice.
*Shifts uncomfortably, then sighs* I'll level with you, White. I used to be a freelance agent for the government. I'm not going to mention which one, and you couldn't prove it anyway. Back then, I had to do some things that I can't mention, and wouldn't. It's way too easy to be brutal. Way too easy to be cruel. Among the many parts of my occupation, I was head of the "information extraction" branch, and all too good at it. All the tough cases were sent to me, and each and every one cracked, no matter how dedicated they were to their belief. It could take weeks, months, years sometimes, but they all cracked. They never died, but they couldn't live afterwards, either.
Could I do it again? Sure. Would I, given the choice? Never. When I finally managed to get out of the system and "retire", it had taken time for me to come to grips with what I'd done. I'd contemplated suicide, but for some reason, my mentality just didn't work like that. I had no wish to live, but couldn't die. After a time, the mental scars began to heal, and I've become more of a person. I have still not wished to socialize much, since it's easy for me to be identified if you go high enough on the ladder.
This is why I love "the Pack". There are so many warm, caring, loving people here, including you, who have no problem helping you with whatever hurt you might feel. I myself would gladly help anyone with whatever is happening, whatever pain they are going through.
Do you think that you honestly haven't been accepted? Ask Fang. Ask me. Ask anyone here whether or not they think that you can be a really good person to talk to. Granted, you can only be as good as the energy you put forth, but all it takes is looking on the more positive side of things. If the glass is half empty, fill it. If it's half full, fill it anyway.
Over the ever-so-short time I've been here, I've grown fond and attached to each and every one of the people here, including you. Has there been trouble? Has there been fights? Of course. But then, if I could trade it, I wouldn't. Not for anything in the world.
