It wasn't a "bad job"...it was an "uncool" werewolf.
Contrary to popular beleif
(at least around here) not all werewolves need to be the coolest things on earth. Sometimes it is
appropriate to make them sickly and unsightly.

No, compared to the other CGI in the movie, the werewolf really looked out of place.

I think I agree with Vuldari on the Harry Potter ww. Unfortantly, being a werewolf is a bad thing in the HP books, so they should look 'bad' as well

It did have a cool gothic-ish look to it...though I wouldnt of minded more wolf features- some fur/hair, ect.

I would have settled for more fur.

I am not in favor of werewolves looking ugly or uncool, but I do see your point about that. However, I still think they should have rethought how they did that werewolf. His arms and legs were like sticks. I could have kicked his a**. If I saw a werewolf like that (after I got over the initial shock) I wouldn't be scared at all. So, yes, werewolves don't have to look cool, but they should at least look somewhat frightening. It was ridiculous to see those kids running away from that scrawny thing.

I dunno...
I'd run away: Lupin could have had rabies, or canine distemper.
Probably distemper.

you cant tell a therian just by looking at them. A therian can sometimes sense one another if they pass in a mall or on the street or in a club or restraunt but they look normal. some may be very outgoing and funloving people while others are more secretive and keep to themselves or a small group of friends.

ok, here's what i know from my reading.
in human form, a werewolf typically carries or wears something depicting a wolf. they are also generally more feral in behavior, like wanting rare meat or competing for position amongst their group of friends more fiercely than normal. also, i've heard that they would have generally sharp senses of hearing and smell, and possibly some colorblindness, but i doubt any of that would be obvious.

well, i can't remember the exact book, but i remember reading a story where a boy was told to beware werewolves and that they could be anyone on the street, the way to tell if they were a werewolf was if they had something depicting a wolf. the boy then meets a man with a silver ring with a wolf head carved into it. the man leads the boy into an alley and turns into a werewolf and eats him because the boy chose not to be wary of his parents.
basicaly i posted that tidbit here 'cause i thought that it was cool and that i thought it might actually happen with a werewolf.
