Predators generally kill to eat... Humans kill because of skin colour, or because of who someone's grandfather is, or what myths someone believes, or what they do in the privacy of their own home as consenting adults, or just at random, because someone is in the wrong place at the wrong time. That's not being a predator. That's just being really, really messed up.

heh. Humans kill eachother out of competitiveness. "Survival of the fittest" in a way. to survive, you gotta beat the competition. And tehonly real competition there is is eachother.

actually, we had SAT practice words in my english class recently, and one of them was predator, and we had it defined as "One who preys on or destroys others"

and yeah... with that definition, i would prolly say that w humans are predators.

A carnivore is considered in a lot of places, an organism which hunts prey down and devours while it is still living or just near death (Not all people define it that way). Humans are actually creatures which feed off dead meat only. Some might eat a worm while it is still wriggling, but the majority are not 'carnivores', but omnivore would be a better word for most anyway as almost all humans feed on both, though there are some that only eat meat and some that only eat plant based food.

I agree that humans are predators though. Food predators, sexual predators, predators on the weak, etc. You name it!
