My condolences for your loss. It must be especially hard when a lot of people do not seem to understand how emotionally connected we can get with animals besides humans.

thank you. and yes it is hard, when i say i have a pet rat people think i am crazy, but when she died people do not understand why i was crying over her.

That's sad to hear about your pet rat. They aren't much different from mice are they?

I remember when I cried over the deaths of a couple of fish. Nobody else seems to think small animals like them are worth crying over either, so I understand how you must feel about you rat

rats and mice are different. mice are less affectionate then rats. rats will not run away unlike mice, and rats will love you no matter what. also i have cryed over my pet fishes when they died to.

They are different, but I don't blame you. Alot of artists even depict rats as overgrown mice, but this is not the case.
