my flight schedule has changed.... hotel day extended...im coming in thursday at 1:35pm. so ill be there from thurs afternoon to sunday late afternoon.

Ah my dear Silverclaw... there are many in the DFW area.
My faves are the Dallas Museum of Art, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History (has an IMAX theater), and The Science Place. There are more, but these seem to be more popular. I'm going to be spending time with my friends and family while not at the Con, since it
is my hometown after all. I wish I could join you at the museum.

yes...many Museums to choose from... so much fun to be had.. If anyone wants to join me by all means do so
new flight and arrivial times.
Thurs may 31st leave ORF norfolk at 11:20 am arrive Dallas Ft worth at 1:35pm
sun 3rd of june leave dallas ft worth at 8:15pm arrive ORF Norfolk 12:05am next morning
joy..pleanty of time to have some fun.

The Dallas Wold Aquarium is also nice, but it is sorta sad to see the jaguars kept in a cage. But yeah, the science place is fun at Fair PArk. They may even still have Body Worlds on display at that time.

Agreed..it does suck..
I'm wondering how far are all these places from the hotel? Do we have to take a bus or train? Walk?

The aqarium and the dallas museum of art are the only ones within walking distance. For any of the others you would have to get a taxi or something.

Saturday night, I could take you guys to this awesome club near downtown. It's in Debellum though. I wouldn't go there without a car, since it's a high crime area.

Oh that's nice,,I think I'll pass myself..Thursday is the day I want to spend doing something, the rest are set for a-kon..no offense, but when u said high crime area, that was a total turn off

Yeah, unless you're a local, or very good at looking poor, that area is a good place to avoid. It sucks that all the good clubs are in that crime area. Lizard Lounge is a fun place though, along with Club Liquid.
Unless... you guys want to go to a fun rock club in Arlington (10 miles from Dallas). Division 1. It's a sweet place to hang out. 18+ only though. I've been told they changed it to 21+ while I've been gone. I could do that on Thursday since I'll be in Arlington that day.

Yes, if you do go to
Deep Ellum be sure to watch yourself; lots of drunk people and lots of problems happen down there.

Umm...I've saved up money for gas and admission....
(I'm not going to pre-reg, last time the prereg line was longer than the walk-in line......a LOT longer.)
