Hunh...the other "ripoff" thread has mysteriously vanished.

Some of what I said there would apply here as well, though the situation is different.

With the BeatBox performance, it was clearly a mirrored recreation of the original. I would equate it to a high school doing a performance of thier favorite Broadway musical.

With the Mario thing...

...look...

That tequnique of shadow puppetry-like stage perfomance with prop men dressed in clothing that blends in with the background has existed and has been in use for decades, if not CENTURIES.

One would not need to have known that somewhere in the world a school, or other variety-show thing did a similar performance to to realise that was one of the most naturally fun and artistic ways to represent a 2-D world with live actors.

...if I had never seen either video, and someone asked me to do a Super Mario Bros. stage performance, I'm almost 100% positive that I would have chosen to do it Exactly the same way. ...thinking of other stage performances as my inspiration.

It's a traditional style of stage art, and a good choice for the perfomance, whether it be a school variety show, or a McDonalds commercial.

Stop LOOKING for excuses to hate people allready.

...if you look hard enough, you will allways find one...

...and that will just lead to eveyone hating everyone else.

"Unoriginal"?

...allright smartypants...YOU come up with an "ORIGINAL" performance and Idea that has not been done before...

...

...that's what I thought. :P

(As for McDonalds food making Americans fat ... I can't argue much with that. Most Americans just don't try hard enough to stay healthy, and McDonalds is just cashing in at the expense of all those who give up trying. ...though in thier defense, they have had a strong showing of health centric ads dirrected towards children lately. ...It's likely by court order, I'm sure, and not by choice, but it's a start anyway.)
