I'm usually up when everybody else is out, but that doesn't mean I don't periodically post...

Its too bad the chat room isn't more popular. In my experiences, its one of the best ways to make a "forum" seem more like a family. Just subjective opinion though. :|

It is a good idea, but maybe something like IRC would be better. It works fine with dial-up, and there is little to no lag. You do need to install an IRC client to use it though.

Thanks Tony! I'll add you link to the first post. I also updated the chatroom rules and info. Looks like I'm the "oldschool" chatroom hoster now.

By the way, if the new chatroom isn't functioning yet, try logging in a few times on the same name. After two tries it worked for me.

True. I have to be online here in the Netherlands at midnight if I wanna chat with most of you Americans.

I just wish that either I had time to figure out why my Java install has gone screwy or that there was an IRC entry for people familiar with using such clients. Eventually I guess I'll be in there.

Okay, this may be a stupid question, but how do you join the chat. I tried and all I got was a login thing that said I wasn't a member. Duh I knew that.

Just type in your Nick and click on "login". That's all. 8)

I log into that chat room somewhat frequently! And I've only ever spotted two other people in there. Ever. And they were in there at the same time! :)

I'm in there now, and I log in once every few days at different times. It's rare to see anyone in there. It's a shame, because, in my experience, chat rooms are far more personal and entertaining than forums!

And! It's harder for a lazy sod like me to feel outta the loop
