Hell No! Not in real life. Yes, I'd like to one day just knows how it feels in a wolven body, and if I could completly control my shifting with no or little pain involved then posibly I would become one. But no, I don't want to be a werewolf, nor a werellama if someone is going to bring that up.
:D

It depends. If the changes were involuntary and I had no control over my actions afterwards, then no. But if I had total control (ala senior Lycans), then hell yeah! Think about all of the advantages. You would be virtually immortal. You would have enormous strength and incredible agility. You would always have good health cause you're immune to diseases and sickness. The only possible downside is that you would outlive all of your friends and loved ones.... that's unless they're willing to make the change also.

While that seems to be the general consensus, remember that everyone has their differing ideas about what a werewolf would entail.

I'm not saying for sure that they can't, but how do you know that werewolves can die of old age? I've never seen a movie that attested to that. While they can die at the hands of others by various means, unless that happens, why can't they live forever? Some examples of very old werewolves: Remy (well over 3000 yrs old), Skorzeny (1600 yrs) and Lucian (1000-1500 yrs?).

I'm no expert at guessing how long a werewolf can live.

Thats why I had this in my post. -----> :?

Maybe they can live for 1000s of years. Or tens of thousands. it depends on the story teller and/or myth.

And that's why I used the word "virtually". :)

This whole threat of death would turn me off the idea totally. Quite happy to be a living human :D

Well...I have an unusualy high pain tolerance...so the dying thing is...meh.
Being able to control my wolf form would definately be a plus...
But I live in an area where there are no wolves...or even howling dogs...so...Howling would feel kinda weird...nobody to answer me

I hate being a human...I would rather live in the forest like my native American ancestors than deal with modern life...Argh!! :howl: :oo

It all depends

are they good or bad
and what they look like

so you need a maybe choice

I know sarcasm when I see it.... but I don't think that's precisely what Fenrir had in mind.

Both! :D *imagines evil-homicidal-mindless-killing-machine-beast gnat*

Myself, it would all depend on the probability of survival. I'd leap at the chance to gain lycanthropy, but I'd be more than willing to wait even a few years for my chances to improve, ideally to at least 60%. Life may suck as a human, but being dead sure wouldn't be an improvement.

Those really tiny bugs that are everywhere they swarm food and you can barely see them as a little blob circle thing.

But werewolf not gnat, i prefer living longer then a month

You live a pretty sheltered life don't you??? A gnat is a small insect that likes to bite which is not good for me as I'm allergic to insect bites, nothing bad happens but when I'm bit by a mosquito the bite stays for about 3 months. But gnats are nigh impossible to see unless you're squinting, they are small enough to be swallowed whole by a fly.

To answer the werewolf question, with odds that small no way. But if conditions were right I probably would.
