Thats because you have stuff still in memory. It has nothing to do with defragging. I was suggesting to defrag once in a while.
Ok, when you save a gif with allot of stuff in memory, some pixals "bleed" to the next frame. Some unwanted pixals can be visible while some can be hidden. It gets worse if you overwrite that gif.
Take the wetwolf gif you have posted now. (Not the one on your PC.) Right click and save it to your desktop. Open it with your program and you'll see all those unwanted pixals appear. Those were hidden in your animated gif. To over come this, do what I told you in my last post.
Oh, and I like to thank you Vuldari for improving the animation to my tossing water filled duckies idea.
And thank you Vilkacis for doing that animation of the wolf shaking his head. I've been trying to figure out how to do it. I had the idea of the wolf shaking off water for quite some time. I just didn't know what to do.

Oh, I cleaned up your animation.
Yours has double duckies in one frame.
Here it is all cleaned up!!! I gave him a blink of the eyes towards the end.
WOOT!!! Thanks a bunch!!! Time to hunt down some victims!!!

Heh, its not just a face. Its a whole new body.
I got the meshes/Tectures out of
This mod.
The WWs in there are their own race(set to un-playable) as i found out. Used for the wild WWs. The player when he becomes a WW just has stuff equiped to his that makes him look like one, among with other things.
So, i took the race and modfied to some to make it playable and modfiied some other things. Namely the stats. The WWs were (understandably) uber.
Of course, being the lazy SOB i am, i didn't take time to use the female WW meshe/textures to make the female half of the race, or add a vampire head. Which means, if i contract Vampirism somehow...well...I become the world's first headless vampire.

Umm...I saved the versions of the animation off the webpage as you suggested (those two above) and opened them in GIMP. My old one was exactly as I saved it, (no double duckies or extra pixels), but your "Cleaned Up" version DOES have glitches and odd pixels in it. Either the way GIMP compiles gif animations is slightly incompatable with your programs, or it is not MY PC, but YOURS that is corrupting them.
Figarou wrote:Oh, and I like to thank you Vuldari for improving the animation to my tossing water filled duckies idea.

Ha...I'm just havin fun. I'm no good at coming up with original ideas, however, to paraphrase a TV commercial I've seen "...I don't make many of the animations you see. ...I make many of the animations you see,
Better".

That sounds pretty similar to what I did. I was aware of that mod, but only an earlier version of it, (The one where the "WereWolves" were just grey humans with Beast-Race legs), I had no idea it had been updated. I may just have to steal some of their meshes to optimise my own mod.
Regardless of how much effort the modders put into creating whole new quests for their new races, I am never interested in that at all. They are usually just too wierd, and are all about creating ways to become a GOD character. I'm not really into that. (My altered Stats actually made my characters race
weaker than the pre-set Keynari stats, but well balanced. The game is more interesting that way. I'm really more interested in playing the game in a "unique" way, than making is easier...but i don't want to make it harder either. (Uncurable curse that makes the game harder and harder as time passes?...blech...

)
...as for the uber companion...well...
I had not originally intended for her to have unlimited funds...that was a programing glitch I made. Each time I modify her character, I make it weaker, to make her a more balanced NPC.
I left alot of holes in my character creation as well, resulting in occasional "headless" characters, or legs and arms without a torso, when I tried importing more NPC's into the game.

Really? Well, do something different like I did. I put the wolf in a cuckoo clock. I already have 2 versions. Lets see what you can come up with.

Sometimes other programs can corrupt the animated gif. I opened yours up and it looked horrible. Pixals was everywhere. After cleaning it up with Photoshop, it looked great. I uploaded it, then posted it and it still looked fine from my point of view. Its possible that it degraded when it traveled from my PC to the server. Eh, who knows.

I'll get around to it...eventually. I just need to come up with a really cleaver idea that I'd be willing to put HOURS of work into.
For whatever reason though, I was determined to get that WaterDuckeAttack "
Just Right"... I think I'm finally satisfied. It's slightly smoother now, plus I added some really subtle extras, (like the wolf flinching when the ducke hits, the nose twitching, and the squinty eye at the end).
[Edit: I intended 4.0 to be a
replacement for all the other versions, not an alternate like the tail version of the cuckoo clock.]
As for the file corruption...I think it is just that "Photo Shop" and "GIMP" don't work well together. Files created in
PS look imperfect in
G, and animations made in
G look completely scrambled when viewed in
PS.

Hrm.. I'm going to have to investigate that claim...
I can't recall ever having had any compatability trouble with the two, but then... now that I think of it, I can't recall any time I've specifically shared files between them. It seems to me that as long as the standard (i.e. gif, jpeg, etc.) is followed, neither program should have any difficulties displaying things correctly.
Ah well, I won't be able to look at the situation for a few more days in any case.

I know one thing, I can't think of anything else to do with the wolf. I added hats, made several expressions, my own Figarou icon, and Bubba- The Redneck Werewolf. I had a hard time trying to create a hat to where you can clearly see the #3 on it.
I wanted to do something different. Thats where the cuckoo clock came in. I'm glad it turned out perfect. After making it, someone suggested a tail. Hmmmm..thats not that hard.

I never tried working with water as part of the animation. I was getting used to the facial expressions on the wolf. I would have to see an example of animated water somewhere to get an idea of whats going on. Its easy to take something already made and make something new out of it.

Want to know something strange? I opened up Wetwolf 4.0 and it looked great in my program. No unwanted pixals!!!
Anyways, I'm glad I thought of that idea about tossing a water filled duckies and having the wolf shake off the water. Thanks again for making it look good. I would've been scratching my head for days on end trying to figure out what to do. Its not easy to make something without the knowledge of your program. Heh, there are some tools in Photoshop I'm still trying to figure out what its for!!

My next animation will either be of my own Vuldari Wolf doing something funny, or I will try to make something completely from scratch...not using any allready-made images as the base. ...what, I don't know. I'm still waiting on that divine inspiration.
Figarou wrote:Want to know something strange? I opened up Wetwolf 4.0 and it looked great in my program. No unwanted pixals!!!
Now I'm quite perplexed. It seems that it may have just been a fluke. That one version is corrupted somehow, but the errors only show up in PhotoShop. ...I'm not even going to
try to understand why.

No prob. I really have no idea what most of the features in Gimp do either. I've learned a bit about how "layers" work, but otherwise, I'm still just drawing dots in pretty patterns.

I'm tempted to edit your version of the "head-go-splodey" emoticon.
Either have things slither out the the head after the splodey, or the mushroom nuclear cloud.

You know, after doing some thinking, I could've done a really good job with animating the water for "wetwolf." Everything I edited had a reference to go by.
Before these wolf emoticons came along, I was taking movie clips and changed them into animated gifs. I became really good at it.
If you have a good video card in your PC, you should see a smooth animation.
If you take that animated gif and open it up in GIMP, you can see all the frames. There is a werewolf movie that had a werewolf shaking off water. (AAWIP) I could've studied the water droplets and placed them in the proper sequence for wetwolf. DOH!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrr....
Every image I had in a perticular gallery On fileshack has mysteriously dissapeared, leading to alot of broken image links.
I will have to re-upload most of my old images now...though I won't bother trying to find and repair all of my broken links. That 's what I get for using a Free service I guess.

Oh, ok.
