no its a dog breed, kinda lab like only darker and leaner, with a ridge of hairs on its back goin the opposite way. i think they come from africa and were used as lion hunters.

Well, this is new to me. I've never heard of that breed before; and I watch West Minister Dog Show every year. I thought it was a lizard becaue when I think of "ridgeback" I think of something reptilian or an animal that lives in a rough terrain. Thanks for the info guys
