Try putting the italics outside the URL tag. See if this works, then, if it does, hit "quote" to see what the code looks like.

that's interesting. It's working in the quote, now, but not in this reply. Might be a bug in whatever is the engine that renders the BB Code into HTML for web display.
... Wait, I think I've figured out the problem. You forgot to close the italics tag so it's not reading the italics tag I'm typing in.
Hits head against keyboard. Now to see if it works...
