I can't believe that there are people that y'all... How do you make the leap from you all, or even yu'all, to y'all? My problem with Texas isn't the people, though, but the heat. I haven't been there, but I can just imagine...

Yeah, it's really bad.

and really horroble right by the border.

100 degrees. at one point 106 degrees.

Dallas Ft.Worth....100 with like a index of 104 and humidity at like 60 to 70% Ewwww...its nasty....I'm from Cali so the heat and such is unbearable, I've litterly almost locked my self in the Airconditionited house

I'm from California as well, and I've got the air conditioning running and a fan in front of me. I can't stand heat.

That SUCKS! I had to deal with that last summer, it was terrible. Luckily it was only for a few days, but man, it gave our cat heat exhaustion (I think, he was in bad shape. At the very least he was close to it.) and everything. We poured water on him and put him in a cage in front of a fan, though, so he was fine.

Woohoo! New Linux distro. Once I get Firefox set up, it should really start kicking a**. Konqueror sucks. It sucks so very, very much.

EDIT: Oh, son of a b****. I downloaded the 64 bit version by mistake and there are so few packages for it that it's not even funny. psiguy warned me about this, too...

Well, I can't really say that yet. The interface is nice and it was really my fault. I wasn't paying attention to what I was clicking. Once I install the 32 bit version, I should have full support for all of the packages. If not, then yeah, it sucks. Hopefully it can work my graphics card, the one I've been using doesn't support my graphics card at all.
