You do seem to have quite the last hours.

I fixed my hours yesterday, it was becoming a little ridiculous.

Heh, I fix my sleeping schedule and 2-3 days later it's back to 5-7am. sleeptimes and waking up at 9 or 10 in morning or I sleep tilll 4-6pm.

Same thing here, every time I fix my sleep pattens they revert back within a few days, however, this time I am only trying to get back to being asleep by two am, that really should not be too hard to do, not trying for eleven pm or up at six am this time. From what I have seen and heard, most people do not have really early hours unless they have to.

Do you like skip a night of sleep to fix your schedule or do you force yourself asleep early?

It has been years since I skipped a night of sleep and said never again, and I have kept to that.

This last time I forced myself to sleep earlier.

Another is to wake up to early one morning so I would be tired sooner that evening.

Yea I tried to do the nap thing and sleep for 2-6 hours and make sure I am up early but then I still just stay awake till 4am or so as if I got enough sleep.

I am not one to take naps, that would most likely keep me up for another several hours. Sometimes it does not seem to matter when I wake, could have a sixteen to eighteen hour day when up at am, get up at six am and for some reason that turns into a twenty hour day. It may have to do with how much you want to correct the hours and keep it, when I care enough or have to I can keep it, if it is not that important, I do not tend to worry about it unless it gets out of hand like it has the last few days.

why take naps? it takes time out of the day which you could be using to do other stuff

I was never much of a fan of naps, however, fifteen minutes can do much good if for some reason you can only get in four hours of sleep, rare, yet, it can happen.

Sleep in general takes too much time out of the day.

What would everyone do if you did not require sleep or only had to sleep for a couple of hours each night?

I get about six hours now, no lower for more then a couple days. I was never one of those people that looks forward to sleeping, of course unless I am tired or woken after three hours, then I am sure I would be okay with it.

Nap can give you more time in a day technicly if you replace your actual 8-12 hour sleep into a 2-4 hour nap so taht you get some rest but still get up early.

To all their own I guess. I always found naps to be very good for getting the most hours out of a few days when you really want to get something done.
