*Original Post deleted on better judgment*
I will try to sum up the point of my missing post as simply and bluntly as possible.
My personal set of beliefs does not include a belief in the existence of a higher power, or forces that defy scientific explanation. As an unavoidable consequence of my beliefs, that inherently means that I must believe that many people are wrong. I do not like having an opinion that is insulting to 99.8% of the world, but in spite of all of the sad truths that my beliefs assume, they are what I believe to be the truth.
Because my beliefs make so many insulting assumptions, I find that I am not allowed to speak them, or tell anyone what I truly believe, and I find that a source of lingering frustration every day of my life.
However, I have spoken them now and I hope the rest of you can be forgiving of me for just wanting to speak truthfully to you for once.
My sincerest apologies to anyone and everyone who have been hurt by any of the things I have said now or in the past.
Thank you for allowing me to speak my piece.

Morkulv wrote:... But according to your post (edit: your OLD post), it is okay to go burn down a church just because that is your way to point out that you don't agree with Christianity...
Where on earth are you getting
THAT from?
I was ranting (in my original post) about my frustrations about being treated as EVIL for not belonging to a God Worshiping religion...
...and now just for admitting my beliefs, you have accused me out of the blue, for no reason, of condoning violence against religious groups when no statements in either version of my message said, or even remotely suggested anything of the sort.
Why are you labeling me as something I am not? I despise violence and vandalism. It sickens me to think that anyone would do things like that on purpose...in the false name of "Justice" no less...
I am sorry that you hate me so much for being myself. It does seem however that you are the one who is proving
My point...
...that in spite of being a human being who seeks to become a wise, caring and giving person
(without any fear of a higher power punishing me if I do wrong motivating me...only the knowledge that a peaceful existence is the surest path to happiness, and that suffering effects all to negative ends) I must be hated, it seems...
Science is my religion. Wisdom through Knowledge is my philosophy. I seek a world of Peace and Love and Understanding through a shared quest for truth, and respect for wisdom and creative thought.
I have listened to the teachings of many different religions, and I hear, not the relayed messages of omnipotent beings, but the wisdom of men told through great stories. That is what I see...that is what I hear...that is what I believe... I listen to these stories...I love them...and I often try to live by the values they teach... just from a different context and perspective.
I have no reason to wish ill fates or violence against any peace-seeking religions, or their places of worship. I still don't understand where you got that idea from.
I am also one who spends a great deal of my life living in fantasy. I love to try to envision ways in which to make the extraordinary things we create in our minds for the fantastic tales we tell to each other, through media and all forms of creative expression, into reality. In spite of being quite confident that such things simply are not possible, I find myself wishing for fantastic, magical things to occur every day of my life, and occasionally will myself and attempt to accomplish these mystical feats through creative energy alone.
...I wish for miracles every day...
Sooner or later, however, one has to look at the world around them objectively and get a firm grasp on what is currently real, and what is not.
...and Humans that really can shapeshift into Wolves simply do not exist. I can see no good reason to believe they ever did. Our knowledge of how a human body functions is quite clear on all of the ways that is impossible.
...I would love to be proven wrong one day by being miraculously transformed into a beautiful and noble beast of some kind myself...and a part of me likes to hold out on the possibility that such fantastic things really could occur...but a will for such things to be, or behaving as if they already do, does not make it so.

Dude, I'm not going to type my entire believes and thoughts on werewolves down (again) just because some people don't believe it. The articles written on Otherkin.com are probably the closest there is with my believes and tells everything about non-shapeshifting werewolves (and not just therians either).
Edit: I'm sorry I can't give any links. The board there is set to members-only.

Ok...I moved both threads to this location. One is remained locked because the merge function doesn't work.
This one is open since it has more pages.
Please, no more debates.
If you believe, a simple "yes" will do. If not....just say no. Don't compare believing in werewolves to any religion. We don't NEED that here.
Also......do not post saying you ARE a real werewolf.
Ok...back to your regular scheduled program.

I would
like to believe, I don't personaly but I am prepared (and hope) to be proven wrong.
Short of that I'll make my own Viral Mutgen and start the thing myself!

I locked this thread because I saw something that could've exploded into a BIG debate. Religion is something you don't want to mess with. We all have our beliefs. After locking this thread, Morkulv PMed me and said my action was childish and weak. Oh...ok. What would any other admin do? I bet Morkulv would've been banned instantly if this was another forum or if another admin was in my place.
Being an admin is almost like being a principal at school. Or maybe a father. I have to watch everyone. If someone misbehaves...I HAVE to do something. Should I be like a father and get a belt to whip you? Or sit down and have a "father and son" talk?
After doing some thinking...I decided to unlock this thread. The discussion can continue. But we don't need anyone bashing religions. Please....we don't need that here!! How many people has died throughout history because that?
Thats all I have to say.

Me, Figarou...
( for being so loud and obnoxiously persistent, that is )
[Do yourself a favor and don't try to defend me Figarou. On the count of "challenging the beliefs of other pack members", I am Guilty as Charged.]
Yes
Shadow Wulf... I
Do repeat myself alot. ...but I don't think I need to do it again.
My last post is all of my previous relevant posts combined. I've said my piece. There is nothing left for me to say.

Okay...I have
ONE thing left to say.
This discussion becomes almost pointless if not everyone here is even talking about the same thing. The question is:
Do you think "WEREWOLVES" actually Exist?:
...may I assume that the most practical and useful way to handle this conversation would be to insist that we are all answering this question based upon the
same definition of the word "Werewolf"?...
...may I also assume that, if the above is true, that the best definition to use would be the most commonly known and accepted one?...
If so, allow me to provide links to a handful of resources that I think we can all agree upon accepting, to help clarify the definition of "Werewolf" for those who may be a little confused...
(...no, I don't mean you this time Figarou...)
http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/werewolf
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/werewolf
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werewolf
http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-9076559/werewolf
...if we can all agree upon using a single definition, I think many potential future disagreements and arguments can be easily avoided, and the results of this discussion will be much more relevant.

I just find all this kind of funny really.

I only said that cause I was somewhat suprise of how much you repeated your oppinions its almost rediculous, no offense intended, Vuldari. And Figarou did exageraded, altough I
can understand why. I just put this emoticon

because thats what really was my expression, not in a bad sense, its like rolling my eyes saying "yup thats Vuldari alright". Just looks at the What should a Werewolf look like section, I can literaly count how much you repeated yourself in each thread, ofcourse my reaction was obvouse. But your still one my favorite members.

I just find it funny how Figarou jumped at me becuase I hardly ever see him this way, it almost reminded me of Anubis.
In anyway back on topic.
YES, I do bellieve werewolves exist.

Note the text in red.
I was referring to others who have been answering based upon irregular definitions of what can be called a "Werewolf" that I do not feel are valid to this discussion and what it is
supposed to be about.

I repeat myself so often for multiple reasons.
One...sometimes I feel like no one even notices that I said something if I only say it once, so I say it again and again until someone responds (a habit carried over from my relations with friends and family), or if a discussion has been going on for a long time, my opinion becomes buried on page 3 of 17 and I know most don't bother to read back that far, so I feel like it is appropriate to state my opinion again as if I am entering the discussion for the first time.
Two...no matter how clearly I may phrase myself, I find that my messages are frequently mis-interpreted, and therefore, repeating the same concept several ways reduces the chances of others jumping to false conclusions based on a choice of words in one sentence or another. (though even then, it still doesn't work sometimes).
Three...I just like discussion, and bringing up a point I had made previously after new people come into the conversation, or new ideas are coming into play sometimes sparks interesting 'point / counter-point' discussions which can lead to entirely new ideas that no one ever thought of before.
Four...I have an inflated ego, and if I think my point is better than yours, I occasionally can't resist rubbing it in. I am HUMAN after all.

I'm not jumping on you. Its just that its not a good idea to poke at someone after he/she made a comment.
Joking around...I don't mind because I do that a lot. But I don't make fun of the person. I try and look for puns. In turn people joke with me. I've been called a dork many times. I've grown used to it.
