Human women are the only creatures that regularly bleed for five days without dying, get wet without water, and can make boneless meat hard.

(....not exactly a fact, but pretty funny anyway. )

Going with gross stuff in food
On average, every chocolate bar contains 3 insect legs
Cereal is allowed to have so many impurities depending upon its volume, which mean large quanities of cereal can have dead bugs in them

This one doesn't have to do with food, but it has bugs!
On average, everybody swallows about 2 spiders a year while they are sleeping  Eewww....

The park that houses the Tomb of the Unknown Solider Monuement in Center City PA ( Historic District ) was recenlty re-built up as people's dogs were digging up human remains. heh. Artifacts from teh Revolutionary and Civil Wars were being dropped off at teh Art Museum, and some were found in auctions. Things like rings ( and finger bones ), belt buckles, boots ( and leg bones ), human femurs..., heh.

Apparenetly the entire park was the yard for the Debtor's Prision ( who's facade and barred windows still stand ). This yard was th eonly place they could bury the dead prisoners. Some Hussian soliders are also burried here.

Intresting extra tidbit, the Hussian Soliders are burried face down with their feet pointed into the air. The going superstition was that the soul left the body and headed in teh direction the face, faced.

;)

So Americans were senidng the Hussian where they felt they belonged. To that warm toasty place.

To be honest, as long as I can't taste it, see it, and it doesn't make me sick, I don't care.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is the fear of long words.

The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night.

A giraffe can go without water longer than a camel can.

In the United States, a pound of potato chips cost two hundred times more than a pound of potatoes.

Barbie's measurements if she were life size: 39-23-33.

The new york cheescake was actualy started in New York Texas.

The smallest county in Texas (population wise) is Loving County with a total of 65 people(as of 2001).

Of all known forms of animals life ever to inhabit the Earth, only about 10 percent still exist today.

for hamster:All pet hamsters are descended from a single female wild golden hamster found with a litter of 12 young in Syria in 1930.

Sharks apparently are the only animals that never get sick. As far as is known, they are immune to every known disease including cancer.(go them)

Snails produce a colorless, sticky discharge that forms a protective carpet under them as they travel along. The discharge is so effective that they can crawl along the edge of a razor without cutting themselves.

The bloodhound is the only animal whose evidence is admissible in an American court.

The fastest bird is the Spine-tailed swift, clocked at speeds of up to 220 miles per hour :hsup

The largest Great White Shark ever caught measured 37 feet and weighed 24,000 pounds. It was found in a herring weir in New Brunswick in 1930.

The last member of the famous Bonaparte family, Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte, died in 1945, of injuries sustained from tripping over his dog's leash.

I've heard something similar: 99% of all species that have existed on this planet are currently extinct.

I always thought this was pretty funny. Whoever named it had a weird sense of humor. I can just see it now, some guy with that condition:

"For many years, I have suffered from...AAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

I've also always thought it was humorous that people who have a lisp can't actually say 'lisp'. The first speech therapists were rather devious.

I don't know if this inculds 1945 but back then batheing was considered unhealthy as they said it would wash away the oils that protect you. People would only bathe a couple times, if not maybe just once, a year.

Of all the words in the English language only three start with 'dw'.

Of all the words in the English Dictionary the word 'set' has the most definitions.
