Yes, humans can howl. But does it have meaning when a plain human howls? Is the wolf howling with you? Or correcting you?
It seems that when people howl, the wolves howl with the people and not at them.

I can imagine that social howls don't have much, or even any, actual information content (assuming that communicatve howls do); thus, when a human howls, the wolves take it as that and join in if they're in the mood.

I would howl in anyform i saw fit... It does not matter in which form you howl. I say that it is the messeage that the howl bears that is the essenstial...
