Since my computer is still out of commission, I don't have a lot of my music at the moment, but what I do have is good. Right now I'm listening to "Slide Me Under the Moon", Next is System of a Down " Radio/Video"

Artist: Tracy Chapman
Album: New Beginning
Song: Give Me One Reason

And you know what? I'm glad Country Western is defined purely by white skin and stupid hats and is therefore not directly related to R&B. That way I can listen to Tracy Chapman, Buddy Guy and Jack Johnson 100% guilt-free. :D

I've been trying to get my sleeping pattern back in line with my time zone (went to bed at 2:00 last night, woke up at 12:00 this morning) and this seemed like the perfect song to do so with.

:? Not all country stars wear cowboy hats and are white. Those two traits hardly encompass the entire genre.

And guilt? What guilt? There's no reason to feel guilty for listening to country.

Then what does make Country Western? Or more accurately, how does it differ from the Blues, Rhythm & Blues, and/or Soft Rock?

And uh... I to be the devil's advocate, but can you name so much as one Country singer that is/was black or hispanic? (The guy from Ireland in Nashville Star does not count as being politically correct)

And since I'm still living with my brother:

Band: Crystal Method
Album: Vegas
Song: Trip Like I Do

[total geek-out]

Honestly...I'm listening to a jazzed-up version of the in-game music from the third TMNT NES game at the moment.

...seriously...

(Oh god...I think I just dropped a few ranks on the geek scale...or rose, however you want to look at it.)
