Yeah, but that's a genetic anomoly, and mice don't normally drop their tails and regenerate them as a defense mechanism.

Yeah, I know.

I believe I allready said that.

...anyway...yeah.

Those mice are werid.
Tails falling off is gross.
Unreasonable immortality is silly.

What about werewolves that are a little more supernatural in nature?

What level of regeneration would be reasonable (in your preferential opinion) for that kind of werewolf?
(the kind that can change size and shape in impossible ways, are sensitive supernatural forces, possibly under a spell or curse, etc.)

I could see anything from super-fast healing, to regerating from red mist, depending on magic involved and the skill of the user wielding it.

For a magic werewolf, I'll even tolerate the kind of uber-healing that lets them regrow a lost arm in mere minutes or seconds (preferablly minutes, though..)

Any more and...*bleh*.

Of course, when it comes to supernatural Werewolves like that, I like some silver weakness to balance out the healing, either by having silver damage healing capacity (of the entire WW, or just that one wound) or just do alot more damage (IE, cutting through WW flesh like a hot knife through butter).

The point about the mice is that it's possible to regenerate that sort of thing, not that anything actually does it naturally.

For magical werewolves, I'm with you, Lupin; if the laws of reality as we know them don't restrict you, then why limit things? Of course, that also opens the door for more possible vulnerabilities, like Aki mentioned.

But it'd get dulled over time. Plus, by fun, I meant potential for a good story. If there's no way to risk yer life, it's hard to build up tension. Well, I'd have trouble doing it, at least. Not that I'm much of a writer. You get the idea.
ERRRRR WRONG, havent you seen terminator 2?

Didn't they manage to kill it in the end? Besides, isn't it commonly agreed upon that that movie was simply an excuse for lots of guns, explosives, and highly paid pyrotechnics experts?

yes but who cares, it rocked!!! :jester2:

No but it makes the movie more intense know that the hero's chance of winning seems really really slim and that makes the audience more interested in it.

Yeah, as long as it's internally consistant, I don't really see a problem with it. I just start to get annoyed when you start mixing and matching things.

Not a fan of regrowing anything much bigger than say a finger or two at most...

I mean, whats the point?

Hunter: (Shoots big-a** gun at werewolf... arm explodes)

Werewolf: Oh God! My ARM He just shot off my freaking ARM! (assorted pained screaming)

*SCHLORP-POP!*

Werewolf: Oh, wait, nevermind. It's back.

Mrh. Whenever I vote yes on this sort of thing, I assume they mean realistic regeneration, as in the sort of thing that takes at least a few months to regrow an entire limb.

I now have that seen from DB in my head where Piccolo regenerates his arm in my head, but with a werewolf.

I seen that episode. But was it in DBZ? Or both DB and DBZ?

No...it won't grow at all.
but the way you guys think when I say regenerate you automaticly think that it will appear 2 seconds after losing it.

no..I'm not thinking that.

I'm saying.....if a werewolf loses an arm, its gone for good.
