Bah, you can theoretically get cancer from all sorts of things, even oxygen.BlackWolfDS wrote: i don't think you can get cancer from meat itself. If you eat uncooked meat, you could get some sort of nasty parasite. But honestly, cancerous meat?

Hmmm, i guess it's possible. But the most likely way to get cancer is from the mutation of a cell. Which can be caused by a number of things. Radiation, chemicals, ect.Lupin wrote:Bah, you can theoretically get cancer from all sorts of things, even oxygen.BlackWolfDS wrote: i don't think you can get cancer from meat itself. As for lung cancer (assosiate oxygen with lungs), that is caused by all the crap that's in the air of where you live. For example, because I live in Los Angeles, I'm (i believe the # is) 40% more likely to get Lung cancer from all the pollution. Getting cancer also depends on the diversity of one's genes. The more diverse the genes are, the less susseptable(SP?) you are to disease and illness.

That is always how cancer is formed, since that's basically what it is. What we call causes of cancer are the things that make the cell/s change.BlackWolfDS wrote:But the most likely way to get cancer is from the mutation of a cell.
I just have to type slower than usual when I'm drunk.BlackWolfDS wrote:you spelled it right...well almost, you made the "c" a "g". And if that's bad for you when vodka is involved....wow.![]()

The closest thing I've come to being drunk (I'm not 21) is being very very tired.Night Rain wrote: I just have to type slower than usual when I'm drunk.

I'd have to agree that I'm much more of a casual werewolf fan.
I'll chat about werewolves here, and I wait for Freeborn to come out. I enjoy stories about werewolves, and will look at werewolf art.
But otherwise, I don't let my life revolve around the concept.

Oh ok
Well hmmm, what are the chances of this event occuring and what are the chances that the affected cell will survive?

Wow...this topic sure has drifted.
First Meat Cancer...now drinking age...
I don't drink (I'm 25 and have no idea what Beer tastes like...exept that I hate the smell), and it seems like EVERYTHING has been prooven to increase ones risk to develop some cancer or another.
Too much sunlight...CANCER...
Not Enough Sunlight...CANCER...
Too much MEAT...CANCER...
Not enough balanced nutrition, including lot's of protien...CANCER...
If you eat This you will get CANCER-A...but if you don't eat enough of it, you increase your risk of developing CANCER-C...and those who eat the healthiest balance of it have the highest risk of CANCER-B.
I'm with Lupin.
...since absolutely everything (basicly, being alive) increases your chances of getting cancer, I'm better off worrying about things I can actually DO something about...like looking both ways before crossing the street to avoid getting run over.

cancer, alcohol and car accidents....
What's next?
Hmm everything give you cancer.
Alcohol ages are different in different countries.
And not worrying about the two leads to being..hmmm. what's the word...oh yes, completely obliterated by a car (maybe not the word).
*sigh*
Like i said before, what's next?

Werewolves in my life?
Well I'm writing a novel of around 250-300 pages about them. I have two more books scripted.
I have a Glossary of nearly 100 specialized words for the novel...I've used some of them here, Smooth (Human) Fur (Were') Kindred (Werewolf-Human associative sub culture)
I have Detailed Histories of all the Major Characters, and most of the Minor Characters, Created a Religion, and even figured out HOW they could hide in todays culture.
I have either drawn or had drawn detailed Pictures of each and every Major Character and some of the Minors.
I have even had to redo a death scene for a very minor character so she doesn't die, simply because it felt like I'd lost someone special (Witha lot of rewriting as a result).
Oh, yeah, I work on my car and ride my 'bike.
No, I' not nuts...I'm just writing a story that's been on the back boiler for eight years...and it's going really well at 185 pages into the first Book...
SO...Go Figure
