nope....saw Chicken Little in 3-D. :thpt2:

And I plan on seeing Underworld Evolution next month. :D

Trust me, if you were willing to spend money to go see Chicken Little in theaters, you should go see this one. It is much, much better. :D

You should try and see it in 3-D. I did.

Well, great. I was going to go see this yesterday with some friends, but they didn't want to wait an hour for the movie :| Since it looks good, I guess I'll end up seeing it on my own now.

I saw it last night. I got drowsy during the film, believe it or not! :o

But that was due to my various medical inclusions rather than the film being boring. I kept thinking, "Oh crap, I'm getting sleepy! I can't sleep through this! It's too good!" So I made an effort and kept myself awake. And boy, am I paying for it today...

But that's neither here nor there. This film was quite, quite satisfying and I have every intention of going to see it again, hopefully the chemo won't sock it to me halfway through. The fauns were world-class, the centaurs were great, the gryphons ROCKED and the Phoenix, as said before, was astounding. Loved the cheetahs, leopards and Aslan, too :)

Most of the audience were aged 30 and up, no little kids. The place was packed so there was a lot of anticipation going; for a minute I thought it was sold out, there were that many people there. The ticket girl dressed up like a lion.

The wolves kicked a**. I was sorry they were on the bad girl's side, though. And yes, you could miss the werewolves if you aren't looking. The scene where the Winter (Unseelie?) Army sacrifices Aslan was so Boschian you could see the film a dozen times and not catch it all. But to see a pack of werewolves — I counted three — raising their heads and howling in unison was one of the more striking images in a film full of serious visual delights.

Go see it! Go see it! You too, Figarou! :)

Yes, I plan on seeing it. The reason why I like to wait for the DVD with most of these movies is because I happen to have an awesome home theater setup.

Some movies can't wait. (Like Underworld2 and Freeborn) Those I plan on seeing in the theater. Hopefully in a Dolby Digital Cinema equipped theater.

I'd see it in the theatre at least once or twice, there's a LOT of visual in this film, exquisite detail everywhere. You'd probably miss it even on a kick-a** home theatre setup.

Miss the visuals and detail? Are you kidding? Can you pause, rewind, or play it in slow motion at the theater?

Good point :D

Still, there's a difference, at least in my view, between 56-inch technological fun and 50 feet of detail filling your field of vision.

Its not the size of the picture I'm after. Its the surround sound.

Yeah, but humans are still primarly visual creatures.

I say we leave Fig alone. If he wants to miss out on this amazing opportunity, that's his affair.

(Trust us though, it's totally worth the movie ticket.)

Having expirenced his home theater, I can see why he likes to wait; but personally I prefer a big picture.

When Dolby Digital cinema becomes a mainstream, then I'll consider it.

The only thing I'm missing is the giant screen. I'm not going to be missing part of the picture since I prefer widescreen presentations. Its easier to follow along on the small screen. Besides, when I got this HDTV for the 1st time, it felt like I was at the theater. But at the very back.

I just got back from it.

I loved it so much and cannot wait for it to come out on video.

An absolutely spellbinding book made into a magnificent movie.

I saw the chronicles last night: pretty good! Too bad the wolves were on the "bad" side, but the cg was still alright.

I did catch a few glimpses of what looked like werewolves; I guess you all knew tht already.

anyway, yeah...

Yeah, I finally saw the movie last night too. It was a very visually stunning movie, and I'm really impressed with it. The wolves actually had a larger part than I expeced them to have. I think I might get this one when it comes out on DVD.

(Fig, you can borrow it as long as you keep your dirty paws off the surface of the disk.)

I saw it a couple of nights ago, and I must say I was most impressed.
All the visual effects looked stunning (although some parts did look obviously blue-screened?), especially on the animals.
I did notice the werewolves, though I do admit I mistook them for odd-looking hyenas at first...

And the wolves..augh  Maugrim was to die for <3

It was just that one angle. From all the other angles it looked like a werewolf.

So, from one angle it looks like a hyena, and another looks like a werewolf?

Well, I hope that doesn't happen with the Freeborn werewolves.
