I suppose a giraffe loose in Oregon wouldn't harm the habitat all that much. Never heard of an Okapis before.

BTW, it's "okapi." Singular.

They're the giraffes' only living relatives. I had a "thing" about them when I was a kid, I thought they were the coolest critters. They, wild dogs and quaggas were my favourite African animals when I was growing up.

Still love giraffes, though. They so cool and gentle...
