Well, in that case, its going to be hard to spot the female werewolves in the film. Unless you put a pink bow tie in the female werewolf's hair.

Being sexy and looking like a female aren't nessicarily the same thing. You can definately tell my grandmother is a woman but that doesn't make her sexy...

I don't want to see bodybuilder werewolves. If the person isn't one as a human then they shouldn't be a big lump of muscle as a werewolf. Besides it's so ugly. I don't know why people find that attractive. I actually like my males lean with just a hint of muscle showing. My mother would call it skinny.

Well a little added muscle mass isn't a big deal, from an effects POV it'd be easier to pull off then a thin bony Werewolf methinks. Though I do agree that to a large extent the transformation wouldn't turn a person into an immensly muscled creature unless the werewolf in human form was already darn muscular.

For the record, guys often do then entire body-builder thing for thier own benefit. A lot of people simply like feeling strong. I will admit that some simply do it to impress girls though.

There are woman bodybuilders too. They look equally weird. Just don't put them in the movie as werewolves, male or female.

Well, a woman can look muscular and good just as a guy can look muscular and good. However there is indeed a point where things start becoming a little freakish.

I should point out though that fur has a bit of a softening effect, even if a creature had a large amount of muscle, under an inch of fur it wouldn't be quite as noticable.

I'm just going to add this here: If you ask me, I like the way Talbain was done. http://www.talbain.com/ . Besides his jaw when he bites.

I always thought he was much to skinny at the waist (for example), but he's certainly designed better than a great many out there.

You can see him in this pic.

We're talking about people looking weird and freaky, and then we're talking about werewolves. Let's think about this for a moment...
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

It's not how wide the muzzle is open that disturbs me...

It's the fact that the bones are bending like rubber around the face. o_O

Eww.

For me, a werewolf has to look more wolf than man. Obviously it has to have the head of a wolf(as for other creatures, the head that goes along with it). It has to have a tail, otherwise it will look kinda goofy and it wont be able to run properly on two legs. I don't like the idea of four legs, it would make the werewolf more cumbersome and less likely to catch what it is after. A werewolf should not kill humans just to kill them, if the person did something to said werewolf, just cause is found to disembowel. A werewolf should be able to shift any time day or night and hold form indefinately if he/she desired. The werewolf should have a soft side for his own kind(i.e. Dogs of all kinds, and cats) :innocent: he should be good at heart not vicious, after all, the so-called beast does have a heart with which to feel and a mind with which to think. Basically the wolf should be able to mingle with a crowd and not scare them away........More or less, and average joe that looks a bit different, but you could sit down and talk to fairly easily. (A werewolf in full wolf[i.e. he/she looks like a wolf you would see in the woods] he/she would be able to communicate with humans in writing[got ink?]) :headbanger: 8)

Full wolves aren't werewolves.

There are several folk tales where the werewolf isn't suspected to be anything but a normal wolf until someone sees them change.

When I picture a werewolf, I think of a were who can shift at will. For me, the shifts can be partial (Anthro) or full (pure wolf). I dont see a humanoid wolf creature at the full moon. I see a pack of wolves with human counterparts out howling the night away, or preparing for a hunt...
Also, I think that they should have sharper instincts (than human) in their human form, and they retain some of their human mind during the shift.

Just what I see in a werewolf :D

That is a matter of opinion and perspective. If it is a man who can become a full wolf and back to a man again, what is it, if it is not a werewolf?

...of course it is a werewolf...just a different kind.

The "gestalt" form we are all so fond of is really just an "Anthropomorphic" wolf shape.

But 'were' means 'man'. So it has to contain some kind of human element, right?

Yes but a werewolf that looks like a normal wolf but still has the mind of a person would still contain that human element.
