Naked werewolves aren't hot, a werewolf wearing a wool sport coat in the summer would be hot.

Having no fur? or having no clothes?
I don't consider a werewolf "naked" if its completly covered in fur. To me, "fur" is natures clothing. We put on extra clothing during the winter to keep warm. Do you think a wolf/werewolf would survive the winter if it had no fur?

Nudity or nakedness is the state of wearing no clothing. It is sometimes used to refer to wearing significantly less clothing than expected by the conventions of a particular culture and situation, and in particular exposing the bare skin of intimate parts and has analogous uses.
Animals are usually defined as 'naked'.

Hmmmmmm..... You got that from here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nudity
To me, that quote you pointed out seems like its aimed towards humans only. Not animals.
Lupin wrote:Animals are usually defined as 'naked'.
Where, on that wiki page, does it say that?
Look at this.
Analogous 'nakedness'
In biology, names like Bare-throated Tiger-Heron, Naked Mole Rat or Nude mouse are used to indicate that certain animal species or at least specified skin zones on them are not covered by hair (as oppossed to furry species), plumage, scales etc., which is however a permanent (or cyclic, in the case of moulting) and involuntary condition of their anatomy, since man is the only species that wears (removable) clothes (not counting 'housing' like a hermit crab's seashell use).
Ahhhh...so that means this quote below is directed towards humans.
Nudity or nakedness is the state of wearing no clothing.
Animals has no clothing to remove. They don't need it. So why are they defined as 'naked?'
Even if we have clothes on, we can be considered 'naked' in some way.
This quote, also from the
Analogous 'nakedness' section, says so.
Similarly attitudes quite like those concerning nudity are often displayed towards clothing which covers the skin, but suggestively follows the contours of a sensitive body part, such as the male genitals in tights. Wet clothing which sticks to the skin, e.g. the buttocks or a female breast (as in a wet t-shirt event), can thus also be regarded as if it had become truly transparent.
Can an animal look 'naked' when wet?

Being naked means no clothing. Animals never wear clothing so they're always naked. Fur is part of the body and isnt easily removed. Its just the hair. Naked werewolves mean no clothing. I like my werewolves furry though.

If an animal is 'naked,' then the fur needs to be removed.
Did you spot this?

Ok, I want you to think about these examples.
Example 1-Take a woman and cover her body with clothes except for the breasts and vagina. Is she naked?
Example 2-Do the reverse. Just cover the breasts and vagina. Is she still 'naked?' Lots of skin is exposed. But she can still go out in public. (Like on the beach.)
According to this, the person in example 1 is naked.
Nudity or nakedness is the state of wearing no clothing. It is sometimes used to refer to wearing significantly less clothing than expected by the conventions of a particular culture and situation, and in particular exposing the bare skin of intimate parts and has analogous uses.
So.....all we need to do is cover up our private parts and we are not considered naked. If nature provided a way to do that, what would she use? Fur/hair? Or more skin?
We need to cover ourselves to protect us from the environment and not to expose our private parts. Without clothes, we are exposed to the elements and to each other.
Also....do we need clothes to achieve that? We can keep warm by wearing animal furs. Also to cover our private parts. If we can wear animal fur and not consider ourselves 'naked' then why is that animal considered naked with the same fur?

Naked implies taking off all removable items. Fur is part of the body. A man missing an eyebrow or a leg is not naked. A man with no skin is not naked.
And I dont think a woman with just socks on is naked. Shes not decent but shes not naked. Shes MOSTLY naked. She can not go out in public because society wants certaiin parts covered but shes not naked. Clothing is removable and naked is when u take all removable items off. But I see where you were going Fig.

Puts two cents in
I prefer werewolves without clothing on. If it’s an animated movie or series, then I do not have much of a problem.

Because when we do it, we can remove the fur, and thus it becomes clothing. If you took all your clothes off, and then sprouted fur all over your body, you'd still be naked.

Naked. Wolves are naked, Humans can be but have hangups about it.
Surely a werewolf would have stripped off before it's TF, I can imagine scraps of clothes still hanging around the body (
think of The Hulk)) as the increase in size may not be substantial enough to totally destroy the clothing.
Also, If, during the TF, some fluids were secreted wouldn't this make the clothing unpleasant to wear?

Fluids? Gross...please, no more slimy werewolves! I beg you!
