You're not in the same time zone as the server.
More clarification: Where I inserted the code to pull the birthdays from the user table, I wasn't sure if the board had pulled the time zone information from the viewing user's profile, and so I just used date().

Ah, yes, I see it now -- I had forgotten that option was in there. I have it set to GMT and was thinking, for some reason, that was the forum default.
