I'm giving you an excuse to fire up that GIMP program. Knock yourself out. :D
Hmmm...I've been experimenting with this, (the "Sweat Drop" emoticon), but I'm having a hard time getting it look right. I'm sure it can work...I'm probably just going at it the wrong way.

Sorry...Image...I was planning to have it done a long time ago. I've just been so busy lately (Working 40 hour/Week job, plus packing to move into a new appartment next week, or the week after) that I keep comming up with other things to do, and so haven't really gotten around to it.

...same thing with the Avatar projects I've been thinking about. --A new Avatar for myself made with GIMP (...the current one was my first photomorph, and was made with poor software...) and Maybe a new Avatar image for Darth Canis as well... just because... (It would give me an excuse to draw a Jedi/Sith werewolf...which just sounds like fun...)
Please Forgive the Occasional Outburst of my Inner Sage ... for he is Oblivious to Sarcasm, and not Easily Silenced.

I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but the thread is twenty-two freakin' pages long: I don't have the time or the energy to sort through them all.

Been meaning to ask: What program have you been using to make all of these animatons, and is it available for download?

Personally, I use two things, depending: Adobe Photoshop, or GIMP.

Photoshop is not free, in fact it is rather expensive. However, it is one of the very, very few programs that I would say is worth every penny. I use Photoshop for many, many things, and I love it. But, it's not for everyone, and someone who is just dabbling will likely find it more than they ever need. Specifically, I use ImageReady to do the edits.

GIMP, on the other hand, is completely free; although, I have heard it isn't as stable in Windows (I use Linux most of the time). The interface is one of the most poorly designed I have ever seen. Period. However, I actually find it easier to do animated gifs in GIMP as opposed to ImageReady. Photoshop beats it hands-down for most things, but GIMP actually does rather well in this area.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Vuldari has been using GIMP, and I don't remember exactly what Figarou uses, but I do remember it was an Adobe product.

Anyway, you can find The GIMP here.

If all you want to do is make edits, GIMP really is quite good for that, at least (and it's free). And I don't think that it's all that unstable in Windows. Give it a try.

Just be sure to save your work frequently; I've had one good friend rant and rave how the GIMP crashed in the middle of his work. He insisted that it be considered beta software.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...
